2017/2018 Football Season

We are on the television tomorrow at home v Eastleigh.

Never do well with the camera's at PP.

Hope everyone has a better weekend than last week!
Good old Beastleigh. They're actually the nearest club of any significance (apart from the mighty Win City) to h-c Towers, but I still can't stand them :)

Give 'em a good kicking (metaphorically, that is )

Have been there a couple of times, a small club with money and big ambitions, allegedly the biggest playing budget in non league.
They have had a couple of seasons where they have gone through too many bad managers.

Smash em!

I see England managed to win last night. Didn't see it forgot it was on telly. Probably didn't miss much and only a friendly. :D

Good luck all those playing today. Hope you all get a win. Seems strange us not having a game. But we can prepare for next weeks trip to Geordie land. That's assuming the forth coming snow doesn't postpone it.:D

Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner has emerged as a target for Southampton – despite their recent appointment of Mark Hughes .

According to The Sun , the Saints could look to make a move in the summer with the German boss top of their St Mary's wishlist.

Southampton currently find themselves in the Premier League relegation zone, resulting in the decision to sack Mauricio Pellegrino and replace him with Hughes earlier this month.

However, Hughes, a former Saints striker, has only returned to the club on a temporary deal until the end of the season in a bid to keep the club in the top flight.

Its inevitable that someone would be interested in having him as their manager after the impressing 2 seasons he's had with us. I reckon if you are determined enough to get him you'll throw big money at him and he'd be a fool to resist. It could well be our demise if we lose him but I'd wish him and Saints well. Guess its a case of watch this space.

We'll see, I guess - though I reckon he'd find Saints less of an attractive proposition if you stay up and we don't :)

To be honest I think we are going down. I reckon you'll come good and we wont. I don't fancy our chances at Newcastle on Saturday or indeed Brighton the week after. Then comes Watford, Everton, Man City and Arsenal. 4 tough matches. It seems our fixture with Chelsea has been postponed due to them being cup tied. So It'll have to be rearranged. Not that it will make any difference. If we do survive it will be at the expense of You and Stoke and maybe Palace and Wet Spam. Its going to be a nail biting run in for all of us in the lower end. Hold on tight :)

Hope you're right (well, from our perspective, although I also hope you're wrong, too, if you see what I mean :)). We have Wet Spam this weekend, so will do our best to help :D

Yeah I see what you mean. I guess we shall both learn our fate as time goes by. It could however go right to the wire and believe me Town have been in that situation a few times in League 1 and Championship gone literally to the wire and escaped. I remember one such occasion when we played Barnsley at home and both of us needed to win. We shared the honours(1-1) and learned at 10 to 5 that Peterborough lost so that saved us and Barnsley and what a relief that was and in good faith both sets of fans celebrated in the same pubs now that's sumat you don't often get :D
