2017/2018 Football Season

Yeah I see what you mean. I guess we shall both learn our fate as time goes by. It could however go right to the wire and believe me Town have been in that situation a few times in League 1 and Championship gone literally to the wire and escaped. I remember one such occasion when we played Barnsley at home and both of us needed to win. We shared the honours(1-1) and learned at 10 to 5 that Peterborough lost so that saved us and Barnsley and what a relief that was and in good faith both sets of fans celebrated in the same pubs now that's sumat you don't often get :D
It happens, sometimes. In the year that Saints managed to get promoted back to the Championship from Div 1 (I think), our final match of the season was at St Mary's, against a side threatened with relegation (might have been Doncaster, but I can't exactly remember). It had gone right to the wire for them and after a couple of celebratory songs by the Saints fans, a whole crowd of them moved over to the away seats and started to chant "You are staying up, you are staying up" to their supporters. It was a nice moment.

England had to make do with a draw last night. The ref had to look at the VAR before he awarded Italy that penalty else it may just have been a free kick and chances are England could have been the winners. At least it was only a warm up match.

I guess we can just sit and bite our nails till its all over in May and hope for the best. :watching: Lets hope we are both :singing:

Another weekend of footy. Happy Easter everyone and lets hope its just that for all our teams. :)
Good luck to all those playing today. I hope its a Good Friday for you and your teams :)

Off we go with a big game. We need to beat the Geordies and get ourselves a bit further away from the relegation zone. Saints take on Wet Spam, a win for either of em would put em ahead of us if we lose. Palace take on Klopps mob at dinner time so hopefully Kloppy will do us proud. Stoke take on Arsenal tomorrow so hopefully Kermits mob will beat em and keep them well behind.
@jay hay-char Good luck mate you need a win like we do. Maybe Mark Hughes will pull you out of the mire. :)You got Charlie Austin making a return so should help you.

Thanks; I'm certainly hoping that Mark Hughes can do the job. I know I keep saying this in relation to various matches, but if we can't beat Wet Spam, we really are going down.....

And its time we got our act together now we have thrown silly points away. Its do or die today and next week.

Good luck Saints and Terriers

Thanks. Alas the Saints are getting beat 2-0 by Wet Spam. Liverpool managed to see Palace off so that's a better look at the moment. Newcastle have had more chances than us at the moment it looks like they are very unlucky not to have scored yet. We need to up the tempo a bit or we are gunna get thrashed.

And its all over. We lost :(:yuck: and its a good job that Palace lost and the Saints got a pummelling. Man Utd beat Swansea and poor old West Brom got beat by Burnley. I reckon they are gone for certain. 6 games to come and all 6 are toughies we will be relying on the other teams below us getting beat each week. Certainly looking precarious. Mark Hughes must be wondering what he has to do to save the Saints. Lets hope Arsenal beat Stoke tomorrow afternoon.

I’m sorry that Saints and terriers had a bad afternoon
Consolation is that a few down there had stinkers too

I had a good day today with the Predictor. I amassed a whopping 130 points. 2 exact scores helped that. Shame there's no cash pot its just for fun :D:D Then there's the 2 matches being played tomorrow another chance to amass some more points :D
Got 110 points in Scotland too and 2 exact scores. Doing well :D:D

Not happy!
Two days travelling and no footie!
Called off because of the stupid monsoon we had just after one o'clock.

Now it's a Tuesday game. OMG!
