I haven't had much alcohol at all in the past 2 months, in fact I'm becoming a cheap date!
Yesterday I went out for lunch and had two glasses of wine. I had told the waiter to give my fries to my husband but when our meals came, I thought I'd just try a few of them to see how it went as I've never had potatoes either. The rest of my meal was low carb apart from a couple of black beans. Two hours later my blood reading was 5.3 so I was pretty chuffed. Is that OK? I know alcohol lowers the BG but not sure if that's a good or bad thing in this case?
I always feel that I'm doing something wrong because I am doing this all without any professional help so would appreciate any comments.
