Type 1'stars R Us

It always happens. I'm the same, have a great day and then a rogue number comes along to knock me back into reality.
There's so much more to this game than the occasional high or low number.
How long have you been diagnosed?
I'm 27 yrs ,I have a feeling you have more years than me.

Diagnosed at 20 as a type 2 since been re diagnosed as T1

Crikey 34 years

The film 'Muriel's Wedding' is about an Australian girl who is besotted with Abba, Toni Collette plays Muriel and it is a brilliant film, funny parts, some sad too and Muriel and her new friend Rhonda's rendition of Waterloo is absolutely brilliant, a must see film. I am not a huge Abba fan, a bit middle of the road for me and their only male eye candy........ well erm, it would have to be Benny, definitely not Bjorn. I do like Waterloo, especially seeing this film.

I’ve seen Muriel’s wedding and like it x

I'm casting a rogue vote for The Day Before You Came. Loved Murial's Wedding! Child crazy about Mamma Mia, so has decided Supertrouper and Honey Honey are her top ABBA songs. I had a crush on the Def Leopard drummer. Gosh this thread is weird.

Never ever watched Mamma Mia

The day before you came video shows Agnetha as her sexiest best

MORNING ALL.
The sun is up.
I'm up.
BS is up.

The sunshine is streaming in through the windows:)
Going to pick wife up from her 12 hr night shift shortly:)

Ah well as the legendary Meatloaf informed us all. " two out of three ain't bad "
Hope you've all enjoyed your lay ins and have a great day ahead.

Morning friends, the weather is going to be beautiful today and already put a line of washing out. Off to work soon, I need to leave just before 9.30 to catch the 9.45 bus, that will get me to work about 10 past 10/10.15 to start work at 11 ! so I will go to the cafe and have a cup of coffee from my flask and read a chapter of my new book.
Have a super Sunday everyone :)

Morning comrades in arms/lancets/pens/pumps!

Woke up mildly hypo again, with a 3.6 so that’s nice. Dropped my dose of Tresiba last Tuesday and the change still hasn’t kicked in... as basals go, this really isn’t the one for me. I thought the stability of it would be great, but that makes it just too inflexible for me. Grrrrr.

Anyone doing anything nice? I’m still in London after the Peoples’ Vote march yesterday, staying with my cat’s fiancée in Wood Green. Having a gentle potter locally today, I’m planning on hitting the wonderful market to buy some interesting vegetables from the Caribbean shop that I can’t get in the Welsh valleys. There’s a green knobbly thing with red seeds in that I can’t remember the name of that I really like. Also, five avocados for a quid :D

Hope you all have a lovely day with well behaved levels :)

I used to go shopping in Wood \green with my mum, we lived in Tottenham, N 17 ( back in the 1960's, when I was in junior school, White Hart Lane was quite close) I long to go back and have a mooch around, but I know it would of drastically changed.
Enjoy your time in London.

Spent most of the night over 14 despite a few corrections. Now down to 10. I'm tired and moody.

There’s a great vibe to the place, I love WG. Good charity shops too ;)

Sunny morning everyone,
5.3 today which seems to be about what I'm normally getting.
Hope the sun shines on us all and we're in for high numbers in the sun but low in the blood

Good morning y'all, 6.7 on waking and my 2.5u pre bolus for breakfast is working quicker than average, I've got the little un over and we're going for a swim mid morning once the insulins peaked.

60g porridge oats soaking in water for a nice slow injection matching uptake of complex carbs, poached eggs and I'd image a couple of slices of wholemeal bread to avoid a drop off in the pool, but I've a small banana for that if needed :p

If the ex plays ball I'll get to watch the football, which means I'll get to listen to it on the radio....

Good morning friends
I’m sorry to read that some of you are having a rough time with high numbers isn’t it blooming awful

I have been up and down like a yo-yo

6.2 this morning which I’m pleased with

Ok enjoy the sun I presume everyone has got it
Highs and lows are part and parcel of the game:banghead: as we all know. 6.2 must have felt good.
Plenty of clear blue sky here. Just been watching a Buzzard effortlessly circling above whilst a hoard of crows were flapping away endlessly trying to distract him/ her.
