I made a kind of homemade tuna sarnie for lunch too. I say kind of as it was a tin of tuna, squeezed dry with some OCD :p in a bowl with black pepper & chilli sauce with 2 x 9g slices of wholemeal bread eaten without marge.

No, that's not a homemade sandwich at all :p

@slip . Please stop I can't take anymore of this. Almost peeing myself here.
For that I'm going to post even more!
A " homemade tuna sandwich " you make it sound like you've just scaled Mt Everest
I'll let you know I had to get up extra early to make it myself - I even made one for my daughters lunch too! :D

In swimming news...80 lengths done including 20 as part of a time trial. Did the 20 in 10 mins 1 Sec. pretty chuffed with that. Will be repeating in a month so planning to knock that second off.

Beats me by over 2 minutes on your 20 (assuming they're 25m lengths) so bloomin well done there, that's fast!

And if they're 50m lengths I've retired from all sport :p :) :P :D

Hehe.....Where was it made @kev-w.......at home SO "home made sarnie"

13.8 pre lunch. Why why why??? so a couple of slices of ham and a yoghurt will have to do until the novorapid wakes up.

I hate lunchtime highs. I correct, nothing happens, go and feed the horses and then hypo. Can't even keep chocolate in the car right now because it melts.

Chocolate isn't the ideal remedy for hypos anyway, jelly babies are a lot of peoples 'go to' or glucotabs as they are not so tempting.

2hrs since I started lunch, I don't normally do a test but I have always suspected my post lunch rise is higher than any other meal time but I'm usually back down to normal figures by the next meal.

8.8mmol

Melted Mars bar!!!!!!!!! Been there , done that.

Keep up with your perfect day. Inspirational.:)

@Cumberland . Good afternoon friend. Hope all is good up north.
I was listening to Chris Evans on radio 2 this morning. Apparently Cher has recorded a version of Fernando.
Now I'm not an expert on musical composition, tone, harmony and all that stuff but it sounded **** awful.
Made me realise just how good the original actually sounds.

And besides looks wise Cher isn't a patch on Agnetha.......or any of the others, including Benny even! ;):hilarious:

So I'll be heading home shortly, the cycle ride to the car usually makes me drop so when I test if I'm below 8 I'll have some glucotabs to keep me above 5 for the drive home, tonight I won't be needing any - 10.6 with 1u IOB

edit to add, just heard we're having pizza and dough balls later and I was having quite a good BG day today:rolleyes:

Hello @therower

Been to outpatients this morning and my waterworks are fine no need for surgery phew

Cher singing Fernando I really will have to try and listen to that somewhere on line, it conjures up a nightmare scenario though

Frida solo and co sung with the beautiful Agnetha cannot be bettered surely

Slip she’s mine I’m telling you

Hi all.
Had a usual kind of Friday. Doing the normal stuff but instead of the BS running between 4 and 9 I've been struggling to stay below 10 most of the day.
I'm putting it down to the steroid cream I'm having to apply to my insect bitten leg. It's as good an excuse as any.
Suppose I could adjust basal dose but it'll only be for 2 to 3 days max so I'll wing it out. Besides helps with the hypo awareness.
Back out in the garden soon for an hour or so. Watch the swifts flying around, aeroplanes departing EMA and others arriving at Birmingham International. It really is life on the edge :rolleyes::rolleyes:.
Hope everyone has had a good day.:):):)
