Or like male muggins here who years ago was trying, with an imaginary token, to get past the turnstile into the um, women's change room at the swimming pool. I was oblivious, honest !!

But did they believe you? Trying to explain the effects of low blood sugars when blood sugars are low, and people keep asking questions and expecting coherent answers . . . Luckily these days it’s a more rare occurrence, not because people understand more but because Dafne and a 0.5 pen have significantly helped reduce hypos. And hypers.

Morning everyone. Awoke on a 17.0 !, first time since I have been on Tresiba and feeling nauseas. I am coughing and my chest feels a little different, not painful as such and a runny nose too. I had a 3.6 before bed and ate 3 small rice cakes. Son is coming round this morning and my daughter and baby Cleo at 11am. Sipping a cup of tea at the moment.
Hope you all have a good :)
Hope you have one too @Robinredbreast, that your chest improves and you can enjoy the family visit

This was before glucose meters. My repetitive behaviour trying to put a non-existent token into the turnstile slot seemed to puzzle them and it was later when I came back to full cognition that they told me and understood. The worst thing was that my supposed 'mates' nicked off swimming and did not wonder what had happened to me, where I was at all!! Thankfully I had not gone swimming in the baths.

Good morning all. Awoke to a 6.6 which was brilliant. In a total rush to get out of the house for work and forgot my injection and blood tester kit....its not like I dont need it. Well I must have forgot to take my jab with breakfast!!!! Am now 17. Quick phone call to my other half and she is on her way with my pen and blood tester. Today is going to be one of those days :'(

Morning y'all, I had my young un overnight, was at 6 at 7am so switched my alarm off and went back to sleep to wake just then at 3.8 :(
Pah. But anyway I'll take child swimming as she didn't come yesterday and pools open till 11 if she gets up, I'd rather be working so may take the youngest to the eldests for the afternoon but we'll see.
My PC blew up last night, the power pack I hope so that's to fix now.
So are we doing a 'stupid things we've done hypo'? As I've gone out of the front door to go to the shop in flip flops only, 'luckily' an ambulance had already been called and got me at the end of the street.

The following 6 months were embarrassing ducking the comments in the local shop, a bad year all told was 1994 :/

I am blushing at the thought of it !!!

Hi All, back at work today - how long I last who knows! My BGLs have been pretty good recently so doing nothing all day (apart from taking pain killers and what ever the doc gave me) seems to do the trick T1D wise, as for the sciatica pain not so well!

Hopefully I'll be a bit better next week as off on hols to SW Wales.

Do you quite literally mean 'just flip flops' and nothing else ?!!

I am currently operating without my libre, which is making me feel quite naked today.. Only got one left and not sure when I can get more..

So last night had strawberries with loads of cream which had slowed my carb absorption down, so went to bed at a safe 6.3 and woke this morning at 12.9, took a correction but no food and went for a 30 minute run, came back and I was down to 5.6, now cruising at 6.3..

Don't have any crazy hypo stories, except sometimes I do manage to get my words really jumbled when I do go low, should record my speech one day for personal amusement.

Aye. 'Twas shortly before I lost my job, enforced 12 hour nights, finished my 2nd shift, had a fry up on my way home, went to bed at 9am and am told I wandered downstairs naked, upset the exs brother girl friend and friend, made a brew with cold tap water, picked a fiver up and off I went in a pair of flip flops....

Humalin S that one.....

All my mates enjoyed the tale, and it still gets brought up 'do you remember when....' But tbh all I remember is coming round in the ambulance with a blanket round me....
Another mad one was travelling to Amsterdam via ferry on my own, went down on the coach and came round after it has been parked up in dam, minus my glasses and I didn't have a clue where I was. :)
Another one that had consequences was from playing football on the early days, getting back into sport, early season, new team, decent level and Kev the stupid goalkeeper, York racecourse, winning one nil and not long to go, a match taking place on the two pitches next to ours, a long ball comes into our half, their lads well off side and out comes kev screaming offside and the whistle went, I let the ball go over my head to waste time, picked it out of the net to see they has a free kick on the next pitch (the whistle I heard) and my team screaming at me. We drew one all and I went back to rugby :(

Aye, I used to have a friend with a coffee shop where I'd stay, and once I'd found some reading glasses at a shop it all worked out following the road signs for 'centrum'.
I once managed to be refused a flight back from Faro as I went down on the flight side past check in, but they let me on the afternoon flight, and another time flying back from Dam to Leeds a hypo had me miss the flight so ended up flying to Luton and jumping the train to Leeds as my car was there.
But I prefer to trend down rather than up and with modern insulin and tools I'm a lot safer these days. Not the first 20 years tho :)

I cringe when old mates start a conversation with 'do you remember when you.....'
