Lesson for me (write out 100 times): expect that any task that is hurried or takes concentration will put the BSL up a bit.
Dinner with yummy home-made tomato sauce and a paltry lot of leftover poultry.

Love it!

My first step on "the journey" was under the skin on an orange.. Not realising the impact of diabetes at the time. I thought I was charged with looking after sick fruit.. ;)

Ah! Does insulin injected into fruit create a low carb fruit ?? And if the fruit is quivering ???

Just roasting some broccoli “rice” to have with a vegan curry for dinner. Levels been ok until about an hour ago when it looks like I’ve had another dollop of DP... can’t decide whether to kill it with insulin or rum, tbh.
INSULINATE ! INSULINATE !

Morning from a wet Hampshire, lots of the wet stuff about today. Need to start looking for lots of ID for tomorrow's 'work coach' at the the Job Centre, I have googled it, Universal credit and the appointment with a work coach and some of the links were not 'favourable' at all :nailbiting: :wideyed: My brother has a partner, both aged 60 + who has had a debilitating bone condition all of her life and they had to fight to get her the financial help that she needs, my brother said " it's a bar steward" system !:banghead:

I did ;)

Been bouncing around between 7 and 4 today, had to take the husband to the out of hours doc with a chest infection, bizarrely that’s help in my hospital’s self contained diabetes clinic, so we knew exactly where to go... back home and making pickled eggs, as we picked up 30 for 20p in Asda on the way home. Result.

Well a steadyish day with the diabetes having to look after itself.
Went low around 11 a.m , busy packing all tools and kit away for the big move.
Not much food just laying around at the moment :banghead::banghead: we’ve either eaten it or packed it:).
Can’t remember last time I had a custard cream let alone 3. Bought back memories strangely enough.
Back at work tomorrow after my fortnights holiday, get back to normal with my diabetes buddy. If my holiday is over then so is his.;)

Awoke with a 7 and a straightish line on the Libre. However am feeling gutted, as the irritation that has been getting increasingly worse seems to have hit a new peak. After less than 48 hours wear I wanted to rip it off during the night, the itching was so bad. Have just had a 2 week break to help clear up the marks it leaves and had mixed feelings. On the one hand I was more relaxed about levels between meals, probably as I am using my new found knowledge the Libre gave me. On the other I missed those directional arrows.
I know where this is ultimately going. I will be leaving this fantastic invention behind. Hopefully they will hurry up with the implant they are developing.

Well, I managed 52 hours and have just removed a very stuck excessively itchy Libre. I can not describe how upset I am!

@becca59 is this just in one place or the same in other places you stuck the Libre?

Bit of an Wonkavator Day today (up down and all around), carb counted at lunch massive wrong on that so headed for the gym at a 13.4 with a couple of units in. Now back feeling like a damp squid and the arrow is going well South.

Ho hum onwards and in some direction :D

@therower Chicken Kievs tonight yet MORE garlic:p :hilarious:

Had an up and down day today. Single figures 100% BUT a fair few below hypo....not good.
Been rainy all day today too. Come back sunshine PLEASE

@Knikki . I can almost smell you here.
Traditional roast chicken for us, wife did do 3 roast garlic cloves in with the roast potatoes but I hope/ doubt I’ll be as pungent as your good self tomorrow at work:).

@Knikki have been wearing on arms. Reaction has been getting increasingly worse. Am going to try on leg next when I’ve got over this. Have doused with my steroid cream but it is still itching like crazy. I wouldn’t care but it was bang on accurate.

Greeting fellow type 1's. Been away for the weekend staying at friends. My first big test since I started a lowish carb diet. Failed miserbly, had far too much to eat, but for the first time in recorded history did not have any beer. Made do with some G&T. More up and then up even more than down this weekend. Managed to hit a 16.2 at one point due to serious under calculation of carbs in crusty bread

Tomorrow is another day

Well it'd all been going so well, blood came up a little after swimming and I was hungry so took 1u and waited an hour, went a little higher so I had another unit, a cheeky sandwich later and it seemed to settle at 6, cool for cats and all that, 115g carb tea and an over estimation of insulin caused a hypo, and curing that's spiked me to 13 :banghead:

They were 4 nice fishcakes though, 17.2g carbs, 18.1g protein, low fat spud salad, broccoli, carrot & shallots and a pot of humus :)

Morning peeps, well after a high weekend, think I may have overdone the correction dose last night. Wke at 6.30 to a 218 and Libre tells me I have been around 3 since about 2 am.

Had coffee with a few sugars and a biccie now joining the Type 1 rollercoaster.

Have a good day everyone

Morning everyone. New sensor today and whoopie, it’s as good as the one it’s replacing: agrees with the finger pricker, so happy. 5.2 this morning, another happy.
Daughter and family have departed for France but they’ll be with us again on the way back so that’ll be great. In the first hour after their arrival, the two Grandsons ate just about everything I’d cooked to save throwing away after the unplanned freezer defrosting incident. They’d had sandwiches for the journey just an hour before. They must be about to grow again: 16 fish fingers, 10 sausages, tomatoes from the garden, soft ice cream. They’re long and lanky and very active - aged 6 and 8. No, they’re not exceptionally thirsty and they don’t pee a lot.
