I see some members are described as Expert, Master, Guru etc. How did they achieve those accolades? I am just curious, being of course much too humble to aspire to such heights.

@mr.pot I believe it's based purely on the number of posts that a member has made - which I feel is misleading.

The more you post, the quicker you go up those name tags.

When I get to 5000 posts I will become a "Expert" apparently. :***:

Oh no I’m only 43 posts away from expert then, in many ways I still feel like a beginner! :wideyed: Umm, I suppose once I click ‘Post Reply’ here it’ll be 42! :joyful:

You are more of an expert than me @Rachox, butI would prefer to stay with the same tag of "Well Know Member" as I do not like titles.

Other forums that are using the same XenForo forum software, I am a member of allow members to put their own tags in within reason

You’ve been a member way longer than me, I guess I’m just a bit of a chatterbox! I remember I was surprised how quickly it changed from Newbie to Well Known. I wanted to stay a Newbie for longer!

Oh just realised looking at other mods I think my Moderator badge precludes any other badge now anyway! :joyful:

That is one of the reasons I prefer to put my own tag in, I do not like that Newbie word on forums.

Yep! Same as what I see Type 2 (In Remission) with Moderator underneath.

Which reminds me ... where is @catapillar ? An expert if I ever saw one and she should have been a moderator

The number of posts are irrelevant, the content is, so yes, I hate the title as well. "Member since xxxx date" would be a far more intelligent label

Can I be ‘Lord High Ruler of the Universe”? ;)

I think you can be an almost expert in your moment in time version of diabetes, by taking generalisations and tweaking these. Once you have nailed it, things can change again, so expertise has to be fluid and ever changing.

Hmmm! That sounds a bit fishy...

Don't know how up to speed you Ozzies are on Scottish politics, but it gets better or worse, depending on how you look at it, when you realise Nippy Nicola's predecessor as leader of the SNP was Alex...wait for it... Salmond....
