Hi all!
It’s been a while since I posted on here but as it’s always such a great help (I love the community team spirit!) my son, Jayden ( 11 years old) and I went to Majorca last month it’s was our first holiday since diagnosis on the 8th June 2018. On the whole his readings were great, he ate a little ice cream and treats in between meals which he didn’t bolus for, I couldn’t get him out of the pool so it worked well
Towards the end of the holiday I noticed his readings higher than usual. This continued when we got home, we were doing all the normal stuff as before, no problem with carb counting and his meter giving correction doses.
Then last week he spotted his first armpit hair and I’m guessing he’s hit puberty! He starts high school in the morning and I’m wondering if his readings maybe higher because puberty strikes??
Thanks,
Janelle
