Sorry if this has been talked about recently. I'm not a regular visitor here. Just want to check what animas pump users have been told about the change over the next year. My healthcare team seemed unsure. Will we all be changing pumps in the next year?

@DCUKMod Inotice you are online.
Could you change the typo in the title?
I opened the thread out of curiosity of a cat running around with a pump attached !

Regarding Animas pumps, I hope the OP has been receiving letters from Animas recently clarifying the situation. If not I would call them. The number is on the back of the pump.

And please look up 'Animas' in the forum search space top right of the forum page to see discussions about this subject.
And please keep reading and posting about how things go with making another choice of pump, the pros and cons of the pumps you are considering etc.
Also typing medtronic, Dexcom, Guardian CGM , Enlite, CGM, Roche, and Tandem in the forum search function will help uncover some discussions about other pump choices as well. There are reviews and discussion in other forums about on all the pump brands and comparisons as well. Best Wishes.

Poosecat - I would normally ask you prior to changing the typo in your thread header, but the fact I was a little puzzled by it when I saw it, I thought others might too.

.

That reminds me
".., dogs are more likely to develop Type I diabetes while cats are more likely to develop Type II diabetes. "
(https://www.petmd.com/dog/general-health/diabetes-dogs-type-1-vs-type-2)

So I guess it is more likely for rover than kitty to have a pump.

Note to self: if brexit cuts off insulin supplies, raid some vets supply stores.

Just in from the San Diego Times:

"Interviewed yesterday, Quincy said, "Look, this dexcom gig is all well and good, but the buttons on the receiver are just too small for my stumpy paws. My mate, Wally the Wombat, in Berlin Zoo, has been telling me about this xdrip thing which they're all using over in Yoorp. Sounds brill, but my keeper said no chance as I'd end up using the phone to organise a jail break with my mates outside the wire. Still, the food's not too bad in here, so can't complain about that."
