5.8 this morning - and hubby is home from his holiday so today is a good day
Hi @Chronicle_Cat I use to have a glass of salt water when I got the cramps from fasting. I also have hot Epsom Salt baths.Mine was 5.7 this morning. I had a bad bout of leg cramps this morning, used a lot of magnesium spray. It did not stop for a while, usually the spray stops it almost immediately.
(I also use pink Himalayan sea salt) and take a magnesium supplement and drink an electrolyte replacement fluid (without sugar). I try to eat lots of vegs (low carb of course) and I eat cheese. I've always had tendency to leg cramps but haven't had any for a while (since I started the magnesium spray & supplements). My doctor just checked my potassium and sodium levels (they are fine). They only think is to keep my water consumption up. I'm considering increasing my carbs slightly as well (haven't been logging them lately). Any other ideas?
Thank you Karen I did enjoy my book although I’m not finished reading it yet I know I will be ok putting the sensor in it’s just the thought of putting it in myself and messing it upHope all goes well tomorrow x you will be fine changing your sensor enjoy your book
Thank you PenguinMum I slept ok woke up with a bit of a coughing fit but went back to sleep still don’t feel to good today but hopefully my results will be back@Ziggy2017 hope you sleep well and feel better tomorrow.
Don't let a number "destroy" your soul @PenguinMum. Kitchen fires, arthritic knees and the stress of seeing a dear friend going through chemo are good enough reasons for higher levels. Granted, the readings may make a Bishop swear at times but soul destroying is having a loved one proudly say I have brought you a cup cakeMorning All from misty Kent. A soul destroying 7.5 at 0800.
Have a good day everyone, stay well, stay safe.
Worth retesting straight away if you get one like that - could be a dodgy strip or something on your finger. Or you could just sleep on it and test again in the morning, which you did and it worked out fine. Not sure I would sleep well without knowing. Glad you are back to normal.6.1 this morning.
I was in a bizarre multiverse last night. Took my blood at bedtime, hadn't eaten for nearly five hours and had a reading of 12.3. Scared the bejabuss out of me, and I have no reason for it, at least I'm back in range this morning. Enjoy the day
What was her name? Sounds interesting.I went to a lecture on last week by one of worlds leading experts on nutrition , she was talking about different levels in different people and that the numbers that doctors generally talk about are those minimally required . Some people require much more of certain types. I would get the numbers the doctor gave you and try to speak to someone who actually specialises in this field. It probably won't be easy because its all still being found out and we like to think of it all as being sorted. Best thoughts in all circumstances
I had one like that but it was followed when I rapidly repeatedly retested by error messages and ended up with meter being replaced. I remember the shock though!6.1 this morning.
