Virgin coconut oil

I read on this forum that Virgin coconut oil is good for your brain.
Can anyone give me suggestions for using this oil in daily cooking. I bought some yesterday and find the sweet taste too sweet for cooking savoury food and I don't eat sweet food.

Thank you. Atlantico

I too found it unpalatable.
So I use animal fats, such as lard, beef dripping, duck fat or goose fat.
Much better for frying your eggs and omelettes!

I use it when baking as I don't use artificial sweeteners.
Coconut flour is good too and ground almonds - you can make cake like things which are not too sweet and use them to make a low carb trifle with a little fruit, or yogurt in gelatine, and real custard, or just to have with coffee.
