How long is recommended to fast on keto please ?
I thought fasting was part of the keto diet ?What are you hoping to achieve from fasting? And what are you having whilst fasting as everyone seems to have their own personalised version?
Not specifically... quite a few keto people intermittent fast simply because they aren't hungry all the time so only eating when they feel the need. There's no need to force it.I thought fasting was part of the keto diet ?
I understand now , well its not often that i am not hungry , maybe it will happen so i shall carry on as i am now. Thanks for the explanationNot specifically... quite a few keto people intermittent fast simply because they aren't hungry all the time so only eating when they feel the need. I skip breakfast and only have lunch and dinner or somedays just dinner depending on how hungry I am.
Keto is about re-activating your hormonal triggers for hunger and satiety by not messing up your metabolism with carbs and for many this can lead to fasting but it's not an essential part of keto.
I think it would be hard for me at the moment as I am full time carer to my disabled mother and i need to eat to keep up strength , when the time comes if it comes and i find i can fast then i will do it , for now i think better to eat my meals .Doing Keto and intermittent fasting is two different approaches to how you gain control of your condition. The balance which suits your lifestyle, needs, work, family life, as well as ethnicity, availability and affordability, will help you get your balance right for you.
