Morning all

Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday and not too many hangovers.

Have a good day

H :)

My meter was put away all day. I am delighted to say that after my several transgressions during the day, involving half a slice of fried white bread with breakfast, Yorkshire puds, several quartered roast spuds, gravy, After Eights and a meringue, (not on the same plate!) I went to bed at 11pm on 5.6mmol/l. Whatever happened during the day will never be known and I had a great day. Back to normal eating today.

I hasten to add the meringue was my daughter's fault. She served it up and said I didn't have to eat it. Tut. As if .....

Behaved very well with food, and almost well with booze. Just trying to remember where I hid the meter!
Back to reality today.

Happy Boxing day to you all. I may have overdone the potatoes yesterday but my son cooked so it felt rude not to eat them. Today I went to archery and there were just too many chocolates around :(

But I'm good with the alcohol so that's something.

Morning all

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the festive season.

Have a good day.

Morning @heh
I'm back to my decorating today. I thought it would be a good idea to paint the cloakroom ............ It's looking nice and I'm on the homeward straight now. I always need a project!

I am back to supervising Mr. Blue who is currently fitting our new kitchen and breakfast room. I gave him the day off on Christmas Day though. ;)

Took wife to work at the local hospital while there had blood test went to Argos to buy duvet as son coming to stay then to Asda which was manic, for food supplies then home prepared dinner started dinner in slow cooker then drove to Derby railway station pick up son from his rail trip up then from there back to local hospital to pick up wife from work then home served up dinner for six people now rather tired, for me that was one busy day. :)

Worn out reading through that... find shopping particularly tiring as I am not very good at it.
Good stuff JG.

Back to work this morning, woke up way before the alarm... 5.6.... 20 mins of exercises;, spiking subpots with radioactivity to pep them up a bit, data processing, not a great pass rate. Walk at lunchtime, mild and bright. More of same in afternoon. Tesco for food, chicken stir fry, 40 min walk, ABC with John M and half an ear on the Saints v Hammers.... and soon to bed.

What a compliment I had yesterday grandson asked me to compile a recipe book for him to take back to Uni with him as he is getting bored eating the same old stuff day in day out to maintain his keto diet but he said when here he is never bored with the food as I always vary it day to day and keep it interesting wow is all I can say.

Morning all

The in-laws are leaving today  then I will be doing a lot of relaxing :)
Probably go for a nice long walk later, try and get rid of some of the excess of the past few days.

Have a good day.

My youngest woke up with Rye Neck. Not sure of the spelling. His boss has given him a week off work! With Rye Neck?! Words fail me. I hope I get out of this irritable mood before Jan 1st, my ol' Mum used to say that however you're feeling on New Year's Day sets the tone for the rest of the year. Harrumph!

@Guzzler hugs and best wishes to you and your youngest. That sounds like something I used to wake up with some mornings when I was little.

Morning all

Washing sorted and first cuppa drunk.

@Guzzler I hope your son recovers soon.

Not a lot planned today apart from cleaning the MH as we stayed in it over the holiday while Alan's sister & BIL had our room.

Have a good day.

H :)
