Diabetics R Us

But surely, if you have external Christmas lights, you want to turn them off when you go out for electrical safety? Wouldn't that tell burglars when you are in and out? Isn't it better to use an internal light on a timer?

If there were an electrical fault resulting in a catastrophic fire, I would rather be out than in!

Middle XL son is taking me to town for the last few bits. Youngest has said many a time "Mum! Put knives on your wheels and holler like Boudica!".

Wish me luck.

I do wish you luck. If you lived in my town you would be struggling. It is like a mad house ... on the roads, in the shops, on the pavements, and no spaces in the car parks, even the supermarket ones. I've only been to the hairdressers and it took me three times as long as it should have to just get across the town.

We went to Canterbury for a couple of hours today, it was much quieter than I expected.

the family minus one.jpg So now we need a picture of her and your grandson as well. But I can't imagine how it could get any better than the friendliest looking capucin friar with a sweatshirt over his friar suit thing

A while ago @Antje77 posted this I must admit being a little hesitant but here is a photo of the family but I'm afraid Keiran was not with us on that Day.

Hope it's not to much of a disappointment I look a right dork.

Not a disappointment at all! Even if you look slightly dorky you look like a very nice dork and one I'd like to go have a coffee with :)
I especially love the bold dress on the young lady, it’s such a happy dress! And a beautiful contrast to the friars suit.
You must have a wonderful family!

Especially when you look at the number of electrical fires in the home between 2011 and 2014:
  • 14% washing machines (1,723)
  • 12% tumble dryers (1,456)
  • 11% dishwashers (1,324)
  • 9% cookers (1,080)
  • 7% fridges / freezers (861)
  • 5% central heating (606)
  • 4% toasters / grills (495)
  • 4% microwaves (427)
  • 3% TVs (372)
  • 2% washer dryers (225)
  • 1% irons (92)
A lot of those appliances are plugged in 24 X 7. At least with the Christmas lights everything is visible from the socket to the light. My brother owns and runs an electrical retailers and don't worry, all those lights don't end up at one 13 amp plug.
