haha I think my DSN knows I will activate the square/dual wave buluses :angelic::angelic:

Lol, P, give a bloke a new bit of electronics to play with and it's guaranteed they'll press every button just to see what it does!

Best of wishes for this new chapter in yr T1 life, hope it works out well.

what an afternoon ive had noticed an elderly neighbours blinds havent been opened for a few days have knocked a few times on my way home from work ,well today i called the police they broke in and found she had passed away .they asked would i identify the body as i was the last person to see her alive as i had done a bit of shopping for her last week as her carer was away .the one saving grace is that she was in bed and looked so peaceful .had to give the police a statement and although she has lived 2 doors down from me for 30 odd years i didnt know her surname or any health issues apart from she never went out its really sad and when ive thought about it i dont really know much about any of my neighbours not because im standoffish or anything but because everyones so busy with their own lives .xx

Yeah, I used to get that quite a lot, and I noticed it was worse with a larger breakfast. That being said, that was pre-keto. Nowadays, I'm usually fasting until 11am, but even a fry-up doesn't change things much any more.
Doesn't seem to matter whether I have carbs for breakfast, low-no carbs for breakfast or no breakfast at all. I either take the correction on it's own or add it to the suggested bolus dose for my breakfast. However, if I don't drive to my usual office or don't drive at all it doesn't happen for me.

@db89 I only get that if I'm under time pressure or nervous about what I'm driving to ;)
Interesting, I don't often have a pressured drive so I can't say I have any evidence it raises further under such conditions or not.

Thanks also @Knikki and @karen8967 - I'm not often a passenger in a morning and I can't remember if I took the same corrective dose last time I got a lift with a colleague. I guess it's another one of them 'we're all different' scenarios.

@karen8967 I'm so sorry to hear about your elderly neighbour.

I've got quite a lot of such elderly neighbours, and they all tend to keep an eye on each other and include me in that! I'd rather have all of them phone/come to the door to check I'm OK if they've not seen me for more than a week (which is not improbable) than not. Mad as they occasionally drive me when I'm feeling highly anti-social.

Hope it goes well with the new cyborg gear @porl69 :borg:

Libre sensor changeover today, so I'll have to gently coax the calibrations in line for the next 2 days with xDrip. I forgot in my sleepy state to activate the new one last night (I'd already had it in my arm to 'settle') when the previous one ran out on xDrip around bedtime.

Does anyone else find that driving in a morning can exacerbate any dawn phenomenon they get? On days where I don't need to drive early on things are much flatter but on driving days I always have to take a correction based on the number before I drive. My commute is usually a nice, quiet trip down the motorway with little chance of traffic and I'm not road raging either. :hilarious: I'm pleased I can manage it (and it's generally predictable behaviour now) but wondered if anyone else sees similar?
Not just me then? I’m actually quite glad about that!

Pretty good BG day today, back in school tomorrow, nice 2 hour drive through the beautiful Welsh countryside. So that's a 5:15 alarm... is it bedtime?

Well it's Devils Food tonight or Pizza and Garlic Bread to those now reaching for the emergency bolus.

Low carb as well............................that is just under 100 grams anyway :angelic:

Might wash it down with glass of plonk as well :pompous:

Carry on :hilarious:

@karen8967 . How sad a situation to find yourself in.
Good evening to you all.
The weekend starts now. Time to chill out and enjoy family time.
Work has been s**t for me and my mate at work. 41 yrs experience between us and still people refuse to listen to what we say.
Logged on early this morning and a thread was running by a new and very regular poster. Basically planning to set up a business aimed at supplying LCHF foodstuffs. Seems to have vanished, not sure if I was dreaming it now.:)
Anyone else spot it?

Contemplates the current Novorapid pen.

Considers current kind of daily usage with current levels of walking and nicely working basal rates.

Notes the 28-day deadline rapidly approaching.

There may be chips, curry or pizza in my not too distant future... I really don't like wasting insulin.
