Type 2 Practice changing my meter

Had a letter from my practice saying they have changed me onto tee 2+ meter I’ve never heard of this meter & not sure why I need to change anyone had this happen

If you are an insulin user or on a glucose lowering drug and the meter was given to you by the practice then they can REQUEST you change, they cannot force you to do so......if on the other hand you were given the meter by the hospital clinic you can tell the clinic and ask them to write to the gp to leave your meter alone.
My GP's practice manager has tried to do this to me a few times, but I have explained to them that I have to trust my meter implicitly as I inject myself with what is to others a deadly poison several times a day.......it takes a long time to gain this kind of trust in a meter and shouldn't be ignored .............though the members here who use the Tee2+ meters say its a good one.

Many members of this forum (T2s) use this meter because they have to self fund and the strips are very reasonably priced.

Yeah I’ve major issues on a weekly injection plus on insulin 4 times a day and still have high bg my DSN is trying to get me libre on prescription too as I was self funding that afew years ago but had to stop as too expensive think my gp switched to a cheaper meter as I’m testing loads as advised by hospital but would have been nice to be consulted instead of them changing my repeat prescription & sending a letter saying collect meter at surgery said there were 3 meters available but they chose which one for me never heard of this one
