What do people think of this?

I really don´t know what to think of it..

guess it might mean something how ill one is already when eating it...

well yes but this is only 3 eggs a week...

Well I eat about 12-15 eggs a week and my latest cholesterol total was 3.1, and cholesterol seems to be what it's concentrating on, so y'know ......

This bit about eggs is not new. This is something I first came across many years ago. It was the reason I radically reduced the amount of eggs that I ate. I have only now started to up the number of eggs I eat per week, basically putting faith in advice and histories taken from this site. Such as @Rokaab above.

We know eggs are rich in cholesterol. Think of this, eggs are high in cholesterol, eggs hatch and become chickens (other birds are available) therefore chicken is high in cholesterol and yet these 'experts' cite red meat as a baddie not white meat. This hypothesis is about as sound as the one in this questionable study.

The cholesterol you eat is not the cholesterol you wear.

I eat around 10 eggs a week and my cholesterol ratios are perfect!

I get through a minimum of four per day, and very often six or even eight. So far I’m fine. Apart from the artrial fibrillation and keto crotch

The statins are helping with the keto crotch though :nurse:

I think it is more vegan, peta, animal rights garbage, the news source is pretty rank as well'

I eat two dozen eggs a fortnight.

My last lipid blood tests are excellent.

Good one @Rachox.
My thoughts aren’t publishable on a family website :shifty:
Garn, ya know ya want too.

How the study was conducted

Each participant was asked a long list of what they’d eaten for the previous year or month. The data were collected during a single visit.

A major limitation of the study is participants’ long-term eating patterns weren’t assessed.

The study had up to 31 years of follow up

In other words, 31 years ago a group of people provided a long list of foods they ate for the previous year or month.
No further eating patterns assessed. Some of them died. What utter tosh.

I eat around 14 eggs a week. My cholesterol and lipids are all good. My ratios are excellent. Trigs/HDL ratio is 0.2.

I do wish that these so called studies would be better used as toilet paper!

As in most things, having too much of anything is not good for you!
Having a little of what you like in a balanced , tailored for you, dietary intake, will always be the better option of managing most endocrine conditions.

I eat quite a few eggs per week, between ten and twenty depending on what else I am having with them! Tomorrow, after fasting, gammon and two eggs (fried) with fresh mushrooms, tomatoes and onions (again fried!)

You need water to exist, you just cannot live without it!
But too much, will make you very ill!
Think of some medication. A dose of most drugs is good for you, an overdose is bad!

Portion size and control is so important, as is exercise!

Does anyone remember the “Go To Work on an Egg” adverts? That must have been 60s / 70s .

Correction. 50s 60s:

If it wasn’t for my diabetes and my spread sheets, I wouldn’t remember what I’d eaten the previous week, never mind the previous month or year! :wideyed:

Another one. I remember the campaign well. And ate eggs for breakfast regularly. Then it all stopped.
