Regular moderate exercise log

54 lengths tonight in what was almost the ocean with the waves created by the most insane amount of people in the pool. That’s me done until Thursday night so will report in then

Yesterday after bussing and flying needed a walk but was too late, so, half a mile around the shortest block available.
Tonight immoderate ballet class. So. Much. Fun. Managed to get airborne a few times, I’m either getting stronger or growing some courage. Sadly, I will never do any turning again. Vestibular migraine says oh no you won’t do that missy! (I did try a VERY short set tonight, and the whole world went round and round so fast that everything I was trying to grab to ground myself kept rotating away. I was laughing but must have looked drunk as a skunk!)

Yesterday was 12.5k steps and a 40min gym session. The lovely PT who runs our Friday Macmillan keep fit class was in the gym with a client at the time and said she’d be happy to spend some time helping me so have arranged to go in this afternoon for another session. Still need a lot of balance and strength exercises

Your ballet sounds like a lot of fun @zauberflote and that really is the best type of exercise.

13,3k steps including 45 mins fairly vigorous grass cutting and some lifting bedding. raking and shovelling whilst cleaning the chickens. No gym type exercise for a while just waiting for Julie to recover but today's kind of routine is a standard 3-4 times a week March to September tick over.

Just the 40 lengths tonight. My shoulder is burning with pain and has been all day so glad I got any lengths done. Tonight’s the last pool visit for this week as for a change I have a social life tomorrow night :angelic:

Hope the shoulder pain is not due to all this swimming as it would be totally unjust to be injured for a good cause. Unjust but sadly not unheard of. Take very great care of yourself for you have a journey to make.

I suffered from a frozen shoulder for a long time in my late teens and then again in my mid 20’s. Since then I find it’s more susceptible to hurt on occasion - if I sit at my desk typing for too long at work it plays up so must have upset it slightly. It’ll ease up in a day or so I’m sure. And if not, well I’ll swim through the pain. Got very used to powering through my aches and pains as much as I can :)

@Emma_369 sympathy for the shoulder pain. Good thing maybe that you’re giving the swimming a rest for a day or 2

No idea about steps as my phone died yesterday so nothing recorded till I got it fixed today - 3 forays out into the world usually gives over 10k steps though so I’ll assume that.
1hr rehab gym class, very punishing today with a lot of very slow squats.

I went to a reflexologist yesterday who’d been recommended to me. She specialises in neuropathic pain. I couldn’t believe it today but coming back from town this afternoon my foot didn’t hurt at all. Usually it gets worse through the day, the more I walk on it and I’m often limping by afternoon, but today there was just a sort of bruised numb feeling. It’s early days to be celebrating but I can’t help feeling happy about it.

Good Lord @johnpol I knew that was alot of weight but I just worked it out. Wow. Scares me!
@ianpspurs still sending Julie waves of recovery and healing via the cyberwebs :)
@Emma_369 hope you have a great night out tonight! Forget about the shoulder for a few hours.
@DJC3 how (quietly) exciting about the reflexologist!!
Yesterday nothing. Bad repercussions in the leg cramps department. Tonight as much as I had time for, 1.4 miles not slow but not really fast either.
Good night all!

Still here! I mused out loud on Wednesday that the grass needed cutting, as I've managed not to do it this year. Several colleagues heard me and did likewise (we're all "get out early on a Wednesday "people). I was most smug about my lack of aches and pains the next day as they were all groaning like mad.

Looking like an excellent day weather-wise for a walk from a Japes' point of view (cloudy and cool-ish suits me just fine) so boots are on, bag is packed and I'm off out of the door any minute now.
