A week ago I had a very bad bout of sickness and diarrhoea. I was seen or talked to several HCPs, including the 111 service, who called out an ambulance, paramedics and a nurse at my local doctors. The after-effects lasted all week.
All the advice from the HCPs was to eat something bland like plain rice /pasta, or white bread. As I have avoided these for almost three years, initially I ignored them and tried to eat small quantities of my usual food, e.g. bacon on a low carb cob. Not successful!! By Tuesday I gave in and ate white bread (at least I think that was what it was supposed to be!) from a well known baker. This bland pap seemed to be OK.
The question is, what would you have eaten in the circumstances, given that my usual food went straight through without touching the sides?
