I loved Daktari and Clarence the Cross eyed lion and definitely White Horses too, I remember the theme tune. I loved The Double Decker's, Follyfoot Farm, The Singing Ringing Tree, weird, a bit scary, but fascinating. Tom and Jerry were my favourite cartoon, also along with the Flintstones, The Jetsons, The Banana Splits, my favourite was the dog. Top of the pops, Doctor Who, Whacky Races, so many :) :joyful:

Ah the Flintstones... "Modern Stone Age family."
There's a theory they were living "normal lives" in a post apocalyptic dystopian future, void of any technology.. Employing talking genetically mutated animals as home help? ;)

Does anyone remember
Belle and Sebastian in the summer holidays of old

@helensaramay here in Leeds children go back on Monday then off again for Easter. Some years ago when I was still working in a primary Leeds foxed their holidays to first 2 weeks in April regardless of Easter. It was very useful some years for cheaper holidays. The only renegades to this being Academies and Catholic schools.
Summer holiday TV- Daktari, Robinson Crusoe, White horses, Casey Jones. EVERY YEAR!

Dont forget The Flashing Blade and Belle and Sebastian

Lol, folks, so many early years memories, Robinson Crusoe through to Space 1999 - I'm likely going to be spending a bit of time trying to find some illegal youtube uploads of all these tomorrow!

My tuppence worth is The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. Those were my main sources of moral guidance in my early years, until I realised about age 10 I was really only watching them cos I fancied Laura Wilder...

While we’re on childhood memories, what about the sweets, pre-diagnosis, illicit or hypo treats?
Blackjacks, sherbet fountains, licquorice ropes, bubble gum, gob stoppers, flying saucers, five boys chocolate.
