Noooooooo Andy Pandy was ok.
Know Noddy.....that’s a different story. If ever anyone deserved a smacked a*#e ( 60’s ) or counselling ( present day ) it was him. Calling people “ big ears “ is just not on.:):):):):)
I think the PC brigade would have a field day if they put some of the things we used to watch on now.

@Cumberland Belle and Sebastian that was the other one I was trying to remember. Thanks!
@Faitygodmother As a child I was a bit of a sweet snob! Although I had a sweet tooth I didn’t like cheap sweets lol! Only chocolate for me.
Well onwards into the busy weekend. Meal to prepare for tonight’s family Diamond Wedding celebration. It was a tricky food plan. One meat vegetarian, one with Crohn’s, one allergic to prawns and two Type 1s So salmon and lots of veg. Mum bringing a birthday cake for my dad who is also 86 today. Fun!

Morning everyone,
The grand tour created lots of washing so that's the biggest job for today.
My travelling pricky box was full to the brim too so that'll need decanting!! How does everyone manage for longer than 2 weeks? OK stupid question, get a bigger box. I was also concerned about the spare insulin I took with me. It's been out of the fridge for 2 weeks, it's gone back in but presumably when I take it out and use it, it'll only be good for 14 days right?
Madam BG is beginning to realise we're back in UK with a 6.2 this morning.
Have a lovely weekend

Hi all, v busy week here, looking forward to chilling this weekend. Looking at the weather forecast that might be literal, though not as bad in my neck of the woods as those of you up North. Have spent this week adjusting bolus and basal due to various activities (and inactivity some days) so I'm looking forward to a couple of days of flying on auto pilot. Have a good weekend whatever you're up to.

Good morning all, hope you are looking forward to the weekend. Double figures last night and even with a correction it only came down a little :meh:
Another beautiful sunny day here and off on a train journey to Egham, then Windsor this afternoon and looking forward to it.
Have great day :):)

Have a wonderful day :) and many happy returns to your dad :)

Morning all! I need to get out of bed and to a vinyl shop too, but it’s just too comfortable! Bike show in Cardiff later, I think. Steady night here, cruising the mid fours according to Spike. Plonked a new sensor on last night so need to activate that and then change my pod. It’s been beeping since three am...

We’re showing our age with these kids’ programmes!

Lol, folks, so many early years memories, Robinson Crusoe through to Space 1999 - I'm likely going to be spending a bit of time trying to find some illegal youtube uploads of all these tomorrow!

My tuppence worth is The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie. Those were my main sources of moral guidance in my early years, until I realised about age 10 I was really only watching them cos I fancied Laura Wilder...

Oh yes, I liked both, but Little house on the Prairie was my favourite, I mean looking a pa, Michael Landon, was rather nice  but sad when Mary lost her eyesight :( the Oleson family who ran the shop were not nice, except for the dad who wasn't too bad, but scared of Mrs Oleson :nailbiting:

Yyyyyyyaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnnn Morning.

Yes I remember nearly all those shows and @Jaylee I think that Alias Smith and Jones was rerunning on one of the Freeview channels a few months ago. Used to love Planet Of The Apes, that was good fun way less serious than the reboot films.

Right coffee is beginning to kick in, time for a low carb breakfast something round 90-98 grams of carbs :joyful: and it is Record Store Day so later on off to find a store and buy more vinyl :bookworm:

Good hunting with the vinyl.

Indeed. POTA tv show was probably more light hearted than the original 1968 film? Lol.

Another teatime gem I remember watching around that time?
Oddly enough finding some ideas getting blatantly rehashed later in 10th &11th Doctor Who plot lines.. Was this... Probably trying to be a little too "cerebral" for a family viewing event..

‘Big ears’ was based on Prince Charles
