What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.3 this morning. @Bildad hope your dog is feeling OK. One of our Labradors has damaged a claw. He is walking ok but nearly hits the roof if you try to touch it.

We are off for a lovely walk around an Abbey then lunch at an old inn. The vet said it is ok to go and he will take it off Monday if it hasn't fallen off by then.
sounds like you've got a nice sunday all mapped out.

My fasting blood sugar is 11.3 this morning at 5 am :(
Another on and off sleepless night after waking at 1am. I have a few other health problems which kept me awake.
I normally meditate before I get up (does that make any difference to my blood sugar levels?), but I needed the bathroom quick.

I’ll meditate later, am wide awake now. I can see dawn beginning. Looks like clear skies again, no clouds, and frost in the night. Looks quite a bit of wind for dawn, everything is usually perfectly still at dawn...

Have a great Sunday!

Take care

Good morning friends.

Po the newbie here

Well this is my first week of testing every morning.
I began injecting for the very first time this week with insulin each evening at 22:00 on Monday 9th April.

Tuesday my reading was 7.8
Wednesday 5.6
Thursday 5.8
Friday 5.4
Saturday 4.6
Sunday 5.3

So thats a list my readings on my first week.

Check back in tomorrow for the next thrilling installment!
Welcome

Good morning all. Sunny outside, but still a bit cold. Should be heating up next week. I hope this was the last of the cold spells this spring.

Fasting blood sugars were 4.4 today -- which was surprising after spending yesterday in the fives and having more carbs and food in general.

@gennepher -- Hope you can catch up on some sleep today.
@dogslife -- Keeping my fingers crossed for the scan. Hope it won't be too stressful. Enjoy the birthday party later.
@poemagraphic -- Welcome to the thread. Good run of fasting blood sugars.

Enjoy your Sunday all.

Morning All. 7.0 at 08.30 after unwise Indian t/a choices and half a bottle of dry Rose.
I really should know better. Well todays another day.
@gennepher hugs for another bad nights sleep. You know what you and the kitty need to do!
@DJC3 I am visualising the howling winds and sea spray.
Hope all the canine friends are ok and on the mend.
Enjoy Sunday. Stay well, stay safe.
Thank you
We will snooze later....
Hope that food was really good yesterday, and you have a good Sunday.

India has it's own bagpipes, called Mashak, popular in the North, and parts of Pakistan and Afghanistan. There are Indian military pipe bands

William my 3rd great grandfather was a piper and had been an official piper to the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland this is his wicki page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Green_(piper)

His son who was of the same name was known better by his second name Thomas but was generally called by a nick name of Tom Tom so he actually was Tom Tom the pipers son, he also was Piper to the Duke of Northumberland .

hi! Mine was slightly better today at 6.4, one month in and this one blood glucose level is stubborn to shift!
@suzywakeup FBG often takes longer to show the true extent of what you have done. How are the rises after meals doing? This is a marathon not a sprint and most of us certainly hit the wall plenty of times. Don't take the success stories and string of 4s as either the norm or a target - that way madness lies.
