Toby Carvery? Gosh, I didn't know they still existed!

The meal was okay, a reasonable price, they served 4 meats, Turkey, Gammon, Beef and lamb, but I don't eat lamb and a Turkey wing for Pebbles cat this morning ! Their tea was a bit weak, even though it had a PG Tips teabag in it
The meal rounded off a lovely day :)

Good morning sugary friends.
Ate the obligatory Easter egg yesterday, nothing too fancy, just a plain old Rolo one.
Washed it down with some Novorapid, a 2019 vintage.:)
@Knikki . Me thinks you maybe setting yourself up for a fall:). @helensaramay could we’ll be up for a spin challenge.
I’ve seen the fairer sex often show guys up in the gym.
@Robinredbreast . Have a happy scanning day and good luck with getting the libre full time.

Off for a walk in a local bluebell wood imminently.

Enjoy the day everyone.

Good morning everyone, sun not out yet, but I'm sure it will be soon. Awoke on a 8.9, and saw an Easter egg in the kitchen, it's from my daughter's boyfriend and it's............... a Cadbury Creme egg too, so :wideyed: and :hungry: but:arghh: also:happy:
Bless him <3

Something quite that carby and needing to be eaten in all one go would be a nice thought, and I'd take it to work and force-feed it to the young bloke there who basically eats anything and stays rake-like. Lovely lad, but arrives at work and promptly toasts four slices of bread which he butters copiously and then sits and munches while he does his emails. Lunch (early) is huge, and then there's the afternoon snack before going home for the massive evening meal ..... what it is to be young, very active and not T1 :)

On the beach yesterday I saw many shapes and sizes and not criticizing this, but many of the older men, had the stomach over the shorts, huge :wideyed: I'm sure the majority were not like that in their younger years or even 20 years ago.:( But, on the other hand, I did see quite a few much younger females who were on the larger size.
Another thing, quite a few lobster's about too, people were so red from the sun ( upper body) probably no sunscreen on either, but they will pay for it this morning and maybe into the future as well :wideyed::( :banghead:

Yeah - those enormous tummies amaze me. They seem to be almost flaunted! And then the owners of said tummies are commenting rudely about the bodyshapes of the girls. Pot - kettle, anyone?

As a total aside - the pollen in my area is high and has been for days. My eyes are like organ stops despite overdosing on antihistamines (prescription) and eye sprays. The wretched things leak non-stop and the salt has them raw. One of them looks like someone decked me! This promises to be a wonderful summer .....

Would making an appointment to see your GP help with your very sore and painful eyes ? what a horrible condition to have :inpain::(

I go most years and she just says "Increase the antihistamines, keep going with the sprays and don't use any chemicals of any sort on your face". I don't use chemicals (aaaaargh!) and wash it with Diprobase emollient (the makers confirmed to me that it has no animal ingredients). I'd rather use Aprobase which is definitely vegan but I reacted to it so it's off the list of possibles.

A lot of it depends on what crops the farmers round here are planting. I remember the first year one of them planted a new sort of bean - the surgery was full of us with puffy, leaky eyes and a desperate look on our faces! Same advice though.

Going to give Pebbles cat her first Toby Carvery meal of Turkey wing. probably polished off with a drink of water from the tap, then a wander outside and then maybe a nice long nap :D:cat:

I am going back up to the craft room and will carry on turfing it out. The car boot is now full of boxes to go to the charity shop (and it's not a tiny boot) but I have masses to go yet. Luckily we go past tomorrow morning so we can hand it all in and then load the car again. Meantime today's boxes can stack under the stairs.

Beginning to make headway up there - I want it to just have the kit relating to the activities I will be carrying on with for the next few years and really there should be ample space for the stuff. It shouldn't look so cramped and full. That's because I was hoarding. Not a nice trait and one I'm pleased to be doing something about!

Morning campers, Hi de Hi.

For a change its glorious up here in Haggisville and has been since Friday. Sun splitting the skies so its more "taps aff" weather. As soon as that little ball of fire appears in the sky, no matter what the temperature its classed as "taps aff" weather, and we make the most of it.

Off for a wee drive down the coast this morning hope fully a wee paddle on the beach. Which will be full of folks showing off far too much flesh than is required, eg mainly lardy folks..

One of the main reasons for this lardy affect , apart from lack of exercise, is simply the number of fast food places. Where I am off to today is a fairly small town but has numerous cafes and lots of kebab/curry/chip shops, which will all be full of customers.

Anyhoo have a great day all dont forget the suncream

No eggs eaten today but the “house sitter” of the big house where we are staying had an excess of hen and ducks eggs so left us 18 on the door step to take home.
Chocolate was eaten though. More of the wine a chocolate tasting. The conclusion is both Aldi 70% and Green and Blacks 85% goes very well with a good Chianti.

Salted eggs are wonderful, and really easy to so. Although, they take a while.

My husband is partial to pickled eggs. Not something I'd eat but I always enjoy watching him enjoy his meals :)

Morning all, just crawled out of bed, am I last on parade?

@Robinredbreast - I’m keeping everything crossed that you get to keep it. It was one of the things that really helped me get to grips with this ******** ***** **#*#*#*#*## disease (not modded, saved them a job ;) )

Looking nice outside, I fear I might turn to ash...

I absolutely love pickled eggs!

It is amazing how a hot bath can make me feel like a human again! Wonderful. Now I shall stitch and chill until dinner.

Mind you - I got a tremendous amount of stuff done. Just one large merchant's chest to go, and arrange for the unwanted furniture to go to the charity shop warehouse (tall set of bookshelves, large desk/table and a side table), and we're done. Hoorah!

I’ve painted my wall, currently chilling with a hot crossless bun before I get on with my own sewing!
