What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Double winner for result and prosecco! Driving with the roof down on a day like this must be brilliant. Enjoy the sunbathing both of you.
I rarely sun bathe DJC since I burn so easily & badly (I'm so pale) however I cannot resist taking the roof down on a day like this...it was fabulous feeling the wind through my hair...prosecco is in the fridge chilling...just finishing off some planting in the summer house window boxes then the great tidy up...this evening a glass or two I think...cheers:)

Sounds idyllic. The KittenCat loves to sunbathe too. ^. .^ :)
Its odd Saskia since poor Harry fares badly in the summer on his walks...it's not a great time for him puffing & panting he really suffers...yet open the garden door & he's out there like a shot laying in the full sun...Churchill too good to see him enjoying a bit of peace & quiet from Harry.

I will tell her tomorrow.... and i was trying to “treat” myself to a “international chain” coffee and picked the courage to spend almost thrice of my usual “local” coffee... lessons learnt
I only buy coffee when I have to on a long trip & I'm desperate Shas...otherwise they are mostly a disappointment...all fluff & hot air.

Yes ... one sip and i wanted to go back and demand an explanation but decided to let it be. I probably had half of it and chucked the rest. Hope you have a great day!!

Too many things to challenge all the time, so we do let it go...

Thank you...you too.

Do you have to be careful he doesnt get sunburn?

good afternoon all :)

was 5.0 this morning

here we go up and down again :sorry: a couple of nights of poor sleep and some anxiety seems to result in slightly higher bg. We have been outside in our 'garden' to get some bush trimmings shifted and chopped up ready to go to the dump for the council's recycling ( they compact then chop and mulch to make compost I think).

We got most of mum's grass cut yesterday so it's been a couple of days making good use of the dry weather. Next job is two pairs of trousers to shorten for mr. gee because we have to go to a funeral probably later this week.

Hope your day is treating you well :)

Regarding coffee out. Walked to a garden centre near where I work. I have their card which gives me 2 free coffees a month. For the first time ever they didn't have cream so I had milk - but it was skimmed milk!!! Oh yuk yuk yuk - I couldn't drink it. So am off to a nearby pub for my coffee and cream. Sorry to be such a drama queen - but my coffee and cream is my favourite treat.

I can’t sit in full sun either. I love the sunny weather but I like to sit in the shade and look at it!
Our little dog used to love sunbathing, she was dark brown and black and it made me feel uncomfortable just watching her lay out in the hottest part of the garden she could find. No amount of coaxing her under a shady tree worked.
Enjoy the chilled fizz later.

Not usually PM but I do keep an eye on him...he digs himself a trench under the hedge and takes refuge there after a short while... or lays on the paving stones where its cool...if he falls asleep I'll give him a nudge.

The KittenCat loves to sleep while sunbathing on the window sill. This time of year I have to pay attention to make sure she doesn't bake herself.

I have a real soft spot for cats with odd facial colouring...they are really special and I am sure their mothers thought so. My Daisy has black fur around one eye which looks like a patch, Bless her.

I do that with OH lol. Glad Harry has the sense to get in shade when he overheats. Last summer when it was so hot my two furry girls were so overheated...I wished they could just zip off the fur coats and put on a cotton vest!

Do you like Miss Read's novels? In one she wrote about a change in seasons where I guess the weather kept changing its mind. And her cat Tibby sat down to "do his laundry" and Miss Read said she envied him -- "Just one rig-out for summer and winter, and it's always in style!" :)
