Have read a few posts, so far. I have a Glucomen tester, but most posts have numbers that don't equate with my meter.
Can someone explain please. Thanks.

The USA (possibly some other countries) and the UK (and other countries) use different ways to measure Blood Glucose. I am not familiar with your meter, but with sme/many there are 2 settings: One which gives USA style readings and one which gives UK style readings.

What sort of numbers do you see, and are they mg/dl or mmol/l measurements?

In the UK and other countries we use mmol/l. In the US and other countries they use mg/dl.

Most posts on this forum use UK style measurements for glucose counts in mmol/l. In other countries mg/dl are used instead.

You can easily convert from one to the other by using

1 mmol/l = 18 mg/dl

So

5 mmol/l = 90 mg/dl
6 mmol/l = 108 mg/dl
7 mmol/l = 126 mg/dl

And so on
