I am yoyo champ of the day, I think.
After a fast of 16 hours, and a sleep of 9 hours, Waking level was 8.4.

It is frustrating when reading don't seem to make sense like mine today started off quite good with a 6.3 only had 20 carbs at breakfast had a really busy day didn't eat for over 6 hrs ( which is a long time for me ) ,felt really hungry shaky and couldn't concentrate tested thinking BG must be low and it was 6.5 !
