What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

@gennepher a well captured cat, a good sitter as you said.

I have been showing my granddaughter how to paint fences, she wanted one like she had seen in Peter Rabbit so here it is under her direction, I drew a line at Nutmeg the squirrel in the trees. A5 watercolour, 25 mins give or take breaks to play vet.

Thank you @Muddy Cyclist
That is a beautiful scene. I seriously love your watercolours !

he called to say he has an apartment coming available and will mail me the list of paperwork today. FINALLY! :)
Wow thats exciting news for you..its all happening today what with you and @ianpspurs on the move. I would love to come up on the roof and Mr PM would love to show off his blazing skills I’m sure but I would bring my fire extinguisher to be on the safe side. Please think carefully about a Futon we bought one for a previous home and it was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Would it work to keep your bed base and buy a new mattress, maybe? Wow what a day!

Just wonderful and I think Nutmeg is in there digging up some nuts from earlier.

:banghead: Does remind me that I need to schmooze a whole new set of W ....se deli ladies, fish and meat staff whose children I didn't teach, when we move. Current crop now well trained in LCHF ideas and "as it's you have this last bit free" bless 'em. Am I up to the task these days?
I have no doubt you are...but will they be!

The experiment should be fun. I was thinking of starting with: It must have hurt when you fell from heaven but if it is not still too painful may I taste some of that delicious looking Kaltbach, please?:angelic: Male, female, LBGT? none of my business, old or young they can all have the same.

Your great run of FBG continues. Are you still following the DD menu? I found it interesting what you posted about 4oz protein/6 oz on bone recommended in DS. I dont adhere to that at home more 6oz and steak is 8oz. If I buy mince in packs of 400g or 450g I try to make three portions and freeze one which comes in handy for Mr PM on my omelette nights. Though Mr PM does get a bigger portion sometimes.

Yes still following the DD plan pretty much. I have swapped out a lot of the evening meals but there are loads of others to choose from so it’s easy to find something that suits everyone. The lunches are often cold plates/ salads which suit me very well. It’s nice that the macros are all worked out for you and that’s what seems to make the difference to me. Left to my own devices I have too much protein and not enough fat.
Must admit I usually give the others slightly more meat as well, Mr C has quite a physical job so I recon he needs a bit more. I’ve been trying not to overdo it myself though.

You need to try and catch up on your sleep @DJC3
Cat naps or a sleep later on if you can?

Popeye is a very good sitter...View attachment 38267
He sits right under my chin pinning me down to my bed...

A cat nap would be lovely. Dennis still requires a fair amount of entertaining though( ie distracting from chewing the furniture) so not had much chance, I’ll have an early night tonight and daughter has recommended the sleep hypnosis by Michael Sealy on YouTube so I’ll try that tonight if I have the same trouble.
Hope Popeye has let you up by now.

Do experiment and have fun but that line might warrant a backlash. Safer to talk about the weather, everyone’s favourite subject. Now we’re over that line you could talk about how B is going. TV going off right now, son on way.

You are doing great. Cant be easy to find meals to suit everyone that are LC. I often think how much harder this would be if I had to feed the family or/and worked long hours. Btw I didnt know that dogs also attacked furniture. Its agood job they are so lovable!

Oh no! I have never talked to anyone about the weather outside of cricket context. Wouldn't expect a sensible conversation about B with folks in W. Have you seen how many of the inmates grab free copies of The Daily Mail?

He’s chewed through the fabric on one easy chair, we bought some cheap throws to cover the rest and he loves to pull them down and run off with them. They all have holes in now. This week he has ripped my favourite cushion. Oh and in the last 2 days he’s taken agin his bed under the kitchen table and ripped the base to shreds. Now when I’m in the kitchen he comes and stands under the table where he’d normally lie down, and just looks at me with a puzzled expression wondering why he’s got nothing comfy to lie on.
At the moment he’s asleep on my lap and looks so innocent, he’s probably dreaming about what he can wreck next!

I'm not sure keto is right for Dennis:angelic:

I hope that hypnosis You Tube thingy works for you @DJC3

Popeye has released me, only because it seems he can hear/see something interesting outside and has been sitting at my open bedroom window....

Good evening one and all. My fbs this morning was 7.9. No time to post as I had an early appointment at Specsavers to have mum's hearing aid repaired. Having waited a week already for the appointment we were told they will have to visit her in the nursing home to make a new mould. As they don't have anyone to do this at the moment we may have to wait another 12 weeks! :arghh:This is not going to help with mum's communication and understanding. The good news is that my blood test results were OK and my HbA1c was 56 which was not too bad considering I've had a virus for the last 4 weeks as well as Christmas and Birthday celebrations to take into consideration.:angelic: The advice was to watch my diet and repeat in 3 months. I am watching my diet and whilst my levels and weight are holdong their own they are not improving!:( This week has flown by. I can't believe it's the week-end already. Have a good one everyone.:)

With everything that has been going on holding your own is very much an understatement. Good to hear from you and take good care of yourself.

Thank you, ianpspurs. You are very kind. Glad to hear that you have exchanged contracts so you can now move forward. Enjoy those hot cross buns!:)

Nearly missed my 2 hour after supper test with reading all the catch up news - thoroughly enjoyed reading what everyone has been up to - my life is so boring I have to find enjoyment in going to supermarkets!
Are all hubstas the same do you think or have we just chosen similar models? Mind you, being short of stature, I find mine's very useful for reaching the high shelves that I cannot. And give him a hoover and he is made up! So maybe I got a good un' 47 years and counting.

FBGs were 5.6 this morning. Not too bad as son took us out for an Italian last night. Played safe and had chicken but did indulge in a glass of red wine.
