What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Ahoy there! I am here -- I made it -- 6.9 at the headwaters of Six Rivers Falls.

On that note the slow down of products from china can only accelerate i would have thought.
noticed on amazon etc the times are always long, yet things arrive pretty quickly considering..(just in time ?)

We may be having to do a lot of reassessing to do about where we buy stuff from.

the virus will stop some workers/factories..but how many will be thinking..mmm to packages from china..
rightly or wrongly...that's got to have an impact on them, and worldwide, i'd say.
Supposedly stuff still appears to be sent from China according to Amazon, in that stuff, eg face masks, can arrive from China by the end of this month... @jjraack
I have checked at my local post office and the guidelines they have is that they are not accepting any mail to China, but they cannot tell me about the reverse.

Amazon, I would say are very dependent on goods from China. That is their main business.

I have been checking on stuff I order from Amazon. Something will say...for example 'distributed from the UK'. Okay, investigate further and I find it originated from China...

Not good enough...

Keep your tin foil hat on @jjraak

good morning all :)

4.7 today

5'C here currently which I'm happy about since I'm currently particularly feeling the cold for some reason. Better add an extra layer to my lagging for our day volunteering at the big shed :)

Hope things flow well for you and Julie @ianpspurs :)

Hope your day treats you kindly everyone :)

Bundle up well. I wish you and I could trade weathers at least for today -- it is 18 degrees here, which is ridiculous for February! :)

If y'all like acronyms 1 of my all time faves sums up diabetes (and Johnsonia) and its "funny" little ways: BOHICA:angelic:

Um ... Bring On H1c [grade] A?

Putting garden back together today, then music rehearsals.

Face your day with a spring in your step and a twinkle in your eye, do everything well.

I think you and St Paul are on the same page. :) Today I am going to emulate Timothy, get my guitar out, and play some too-long-neglected hymns, @ianpspurs

FWIW (and it may not be worth a dime, or tuppence):
https://www.npr.org/sections/health...w-coronavirus-via-packages-or-mail-from-china

Recently I have been reading about mattresses made in China possibly containing fibreglass and/or bedbugs, which has caused me to remove some makes from my list. :(

This is an interesting watch from a British doctor who is referring to solid peer-reviewed evidence

I haven't been on for a few days, still keeping up to date with you all but just taking a bit of a break. All's well, so no worries, just my Asperger's doing its thing ;)

interesting..cheers for posting,

however..Did HE have a dry cough at 12 mins +...:wideyed::***:

Might be an idea to fill the place where you might put the table with empty boxes...see how much it would impact on your living space/room then decide.

Thank you. :) That would give a realistic 3-dimensional view of the effect, more than plotting it on graph paper.

O/T an amazing by-product of moving. One of the chasps just found my wedding ring which was lost about 15 months ago:happy::happy::happy::happy:. 3rd time that ring has been lost and found. Ring now with Julie and we know a guy in Ely who alters rings so hopefully all will be good. If I'm honest, it won't matter what readings are today after that.

I am still fighting the Wednesday’ child label.
You could do what I do and revel being a Wednesday's Child. There is nothing like a bit of despondency and despair. I always expect the worst is going to happen, then when it doesn't it's quite a relief, when it does you can always say I told you so. :joyful:

At last 5.4 yippee best it's been for days before lunch. I did sneak out for a Muddy Cycle ride, such a beautiful day here could not waste it. Garden also now back together so now music making. @SaskiaKC good you are getting that guitar played.

Fantastic news on the eve of a huge day for you. God does move in mysterious ways.

back up on the high ridges overlooking McGarrett plains with a understandable 6.0

Why you ask,...did my good deed yesterday.

Lauren's Best friends Mum..had a wardrobe that needed building..so off i trot, near Brighton, so a nice run out in the car
'Mum' looks after me as best she can while i slave away..so plenty of teas, AND a roll with cheese..

kept refusing but i could see she was chomping at the bit to feed me SOMETHING..:bigtears:
so i caved..and ate it...Got there at 1pm stayed and finished up at 10;30pm..
so i'd also like a Sandwich to be taken into consideration, your Honour

So a 6.0..I'm happy with that.

BUT..My god i DO ache today...this getting older lark, not all it's cracked up to be.
older AND wiser....My Buttocks...;)

I Still went for it, thinking i'm still 20+...even knowing i'd suffer today..

But quite impressed by myself..a two man job, but neither she nor her husband could offer any assistance, Nor would i of asked, so i had to think outside the box, and do the build in slightly different order to get it all done, on the day.

and i did........Go me...:hilarious::D

Enjoy the day all.

And another here liking the pictures each day.
does make me stop and examine each one, in a more appreciative manner now i 'KNOW' the artists.

never make a critic or an artist come to that..:hilarious:..

but i enjoy the magnificence of the efforts..
even when they, perhaps don't feel it's their best work..i still enjoy..Bravo.

had a homelss chap, salt of the Earth, used to paint on Biros..thousands and thousands of dots, that made a larger picture..some of it was quite impressive, he also did Clues art, for want of any term to fit it.

he'd paint a picture..say A telephone bill, a baby being born and the sunrise..
would be Bills Birth day..simple but sometimes he just showed us one with NO explanation, so we'd spend ages thinking *** could that one mean..???

Only have one personal 'original' given to me
customer found out it was my birthday ages back and painted me a pic...framed it and brought it in to me.
he'd signed it , too, bless him

Hangs in our hallway..quite proud of it..

The picture is beautiful. Thank you for posting it.

You are a champion. All the way to Brighton, acing the 2-man job for those friends, then making it all the way back home again. I hope you got at least a couple of ibuprofen tablets and a massage with heated oils.

:) Today is a good day for guitar playing -- also good for a VERY muddy bicycle ride here!

Off to Shropshire for group rehearsal and Recorder quartet, lovely evening here but going chilly.

No watercolour today but got the coloured pencils out and sketched an image I took this morning on my bike ride. Feel it needs more work as the tones are a bit light. These pencils blend easily and so might do it later on getting back from Shropshire, no time now. A4 size paper, pencils are Fabre Castell polychromes which I carry everywhere in the pencil roll, yes I have a man bag, very robust Copper River Leather, from USA @SaskiaKC

Beautiful. I want to play Pooh Sticks from the bridge and then ride a horse home across the ford.

My guitar has missed me. ... We did a new exercise today that reminded me of very early Sixties -- The Searchers I think. In A.
