What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

.Anyone else find the man a poor E W Swanton? Enjoy Tuesday responsibly whatever level we are on - anyone know the cheat codes?

well i had to google after that, SO not aware who he was..:sorry:

and while i bow to your superior knowledge of the man,
so saw no mention he had all the baby mama's ?

Sure he was a man of HIS word, and back in the day i guess that had some value.

however, while sure it was frowned upon then, the right honourable Rasta-Bori
means feckless doesn't seem such a shameful word...which is nice.

Perhaps a revision of Mr Swanton's baby maker status would be advisable ?

10.2 for me today i think it is a problem with the new vial of basal so changed again for this morning hopefully this will solve the rising numbers yesterdays were like a rollercoaster from about 10am not going below 10 all day/night regardless of copious amounts of insulin and rising to about 18,so shall see how today goes higher numbers tend to make me feel terrible and i find them harder to manage than i do with the lows which i find easier to deal with anyway have a good day everyone and hugs to all who need them :)

another hug karen.

thanks for explaining, it really does inform how this postee
sees and responds to such posts.

i note later posts you seem resigned and expect it to settle.

i hope that is the case.
do feel for you, @johnpol , @alf_Josiah , etc at the vagaries of the numbers game you play.

best wishes for a return to more normal ranges.

Both not up to the job they are most associated with but had talents much admired by The Telegraph. Cardus and Arlott so much better than E W S. The rambling delivery which actually tells one nothing are common traits I homed in on. I agree Swanton had really redeeming features. If the other guy has any he hides them very well in all the roles I have seen him perform. His siblings are adamant that his private persona is not at all like the act we see so Pour qui et Porqoui?

Another day of joy and relaxation.
another day of seeing the experts disagree and
show how little that word means to far too many leaders.

London mayor say wear a mask of public transport,
govt only advise...
( can see that ending well  )

Trump says HE won't wear one, virus will disappear anyway,
now enforces masks on all near him..haha.

SO..where i am i today.

i see a river..i see a falls...

yep six rivers again.

a 6,1,

and to celebrate the end of lock down
A temp of 36.4..
whoop whoop.......we all survived.

now just off to set up the old scientific calculators and moon/ tides charts to work out
if ...
i can see my niece who lives near the golf course, while playing golf with my nephew
or do i HAVE to make one of them my cleaner, ...:wacky:

Mad.. i CAN meet ONE family member, in a park at 6 ft distance
OR a few hundred strangers on the way to work by tube, at a foot distance ( IF lucky)....:wideyed:

Solid plan, Blackadder.....solid plan..:hilarious:

See the lie
Avoid the die
save the NHS

Wonders never cease 2 days of 5.6!! Doomy is fuming! My fingertips are sighing as I've gone from every 2hrs to 4 a day. The twits are currently trying to play hide and seek with the covers and all is right with the world.
Take care everyone and stay safe. View attachment 41264View attachment 41265
your dogs look so cosy. My two Labradors are so envious.

Agree that this is totally bonkers.

So amidst the confusion of the day I set out on my bike to find that one person I could meet in the vast 25 sq miles of Cannock Chase and saw no one, clearly the plan is not working.

But I did get inspired to paint my next series. I passed a Beech tree infront of an Hawthorn Hedge in all its pungent white shinning glory against a dark threatening sky with long views over Sherbrooke Valley. So here is another watercolour sketch trying to show the reflections of sunlight on the blue grey bark and the white flowers of the Hawthorn, missed the view but that will be in the finished work, need to work on those shadows and reflections..... so A5 size about 20 minutes....

Also need to include some fiddle head ferns.....

A brilliant sketch for 20 minutes @Muddy Cyclist

Fbg 6.5

(I found a chocolate Easter Bunny last night as I was tidying up. Bad me...)

Temp 36

Frog ponds are drying up, no rain.
Frggies are looking at me with sad eyes.
Sigh...

My hosepipe sprung a leak, so it is buckets of water...

Take care
Enjoy all the tasks you need to do

At least there will be happy froggies soon...

Good morning everyone. 5.9. As an fbg in the context of this forum = :bigtears:. Utterly meaningless outside of carbworld in the big scheme of things. Good to read normality has resumed @karen8967 and I echo your sentiments for returnees. 2nd day of being distinctly orf colour. Temp steady at 34- 34.6 ( my normal) and bgs bouncing about all over. Could well be hay fever in new environment but I haven't found a way of avoiding regular little spells like this with LC. Best course seems to be to hunker down and let it pass. Very tempting to overdo the readings and obsess about doing better i.e fast and hammer the exercise. Hopefully I have learned that is entirely the wrong direction. The phrase comfort food doesn't really appear in my LC dictionary - patience is needed. Have a safe day and may your blessings be apparent and abundant..

5.4 this morning. All quiet in the house now. It was chaos and mayhem a little earlier as Archie was in a playful mood - throwing toys into the air and then chasing Poppy round and round the house and garden.

Relaxing with a coffee before the dog walk at 8am

looks like the National Trust will open some of it's parkland soon. We are wondering if it will be safe to go back to our favourite places if we go really early in the morning when it is less likely that there will be many people walking through the parkland.

Lovely painting. There is a Hawthorne hedge in full bloom in the fen we walked around yesterday that looks just like the Hawthorn hedge in your painting. We didn't know it was Hawthorn until we saw your painting.

Good Morning and 6.2 for me today. Just can't keep in those 5s although the rest of the day I am in mid to low 5s.

Tesco beckons, I shake in trepidation, I fear OAPS behaving badly.

There have now been 4 deaths this week in MILs care home all were positive with virus but no indication if it was the direct cause. They are Video calling all the families with residents there today, makes one think they are aware the problem is accelerating, upsetting times.

Cold again here and no sun but still a wonderful light.

Be careful even if doing reckless activities and keep safe.

Looks like summer out there, but it's cold, just as yesterday was. Got a man coming soon to assess, estimate cist of work. And I think one of the local farmers,, who lived in this house years ago is going to come with his tractor and unblock the gate. At least that what I think he said. He has no English and my french has trouble keeping up with rapid fire speech.
Yesterday: Idea was to start clearing the mud from the barn, did have a go before and filled the barrow then realised I couldn't move it. So shovelling clay out of the barrow into bucket before I could start. Heavy tiring work, but once started on the barn, not as bad as expected, was able to clear a significant amount.
Sorted out the salad bed. Then back to barn clearing. Managed to clear far enough to get the mower out and my bike. Both are ok. Cleared a bit more, while moving some tools managed to drop something heavy, didn't move fast enough and it caught two toes. It's good thing nobody was listening. Back to my garden. Some plants are already begining to recover. While I was working, a cuckoo landed in a tree nearby.
Have never seen one so close, tried to get my video but it flew off before I could focus, do have 30 seconds of sound though.
Later on phone chat with Mum. My sister is ill and it seems likely she has the virus. Symptoms much as described by @maglil55 . My mother is seriously worried.
Can tell by her voice.
Get/stay well, stay safe everyone. Never mind deconfinement. STAY SAFE.

Frog ponds half filled. Will try again tomorrow. Still hoping for rain.
In the meantime, here is my frog prince. My cloud painting outside n a minute will be more of a quickie with fingers rubbing the pastels. There might be deceptive blue skies and sun, but it is rather chilly out there.

Frog prince...
