What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Spinach powder - someone will have loads of recipes available on the wonder web. Smoothies perhaps and sneaking veg into meals for children. I must get some to make multi coloured dough - I already have beetroot powder.

Update: @ianpspurs - I must dig out that film Solyent Green - did they do a powder version?
@dunelm nearly spluttered my wine all over phone. Solyent Green indeed.

Time to start freezing the days baked goods. Otherwise I will be eating more than is good for me.
Pic 1. Four bacon melts + four chorizo melts.
Pic 2. Salmon and courgette fritters. Taste test revealed lack of seasoning. Might use tuna next time. Will be needing way to use up expected glut of courgettes.
Pic 3. Low Carb bread rolls. There were six but it's essential to taste test a new recipe.
The nearest to real bread so far. Bet they make good toast but had expected them to rise more than they did.20200610_184643.jpeg20200610_184630.jpeg20200610_194141.jpeg

If you need someone to taste test your recipes I will be really happy to help. They look so delicious.

@gennepher another Goodun, yow am doin OK with yer Pastels, as they would say in the black country from where I originate.

No painting today shopping, music, technology and walk with Daughter and grandaughter on Cannock Chase took up my day. I did a quick Plein Air sketch whilst in Sherbrook Valley 10 mins. I will do a water colour painting of this, more light more contrast.

Lots of Cuckoo calls whilst walking today, my 4 year old grandaughter knew what the call was thank goodness. She surprised me today saying "Grandad some animals are Carnivores and eat animals, some are Herbivores and eat plants, my daddy keeps telling me to eat up my meat which is an animal and I don't want to be a Carnivore", I think daughter and SIL are going to have a interesting problem on their hands because she doesn't like her vegetables either. :joyful:

Thank you @Muddy Cyclist
:)

A brilliant quick sketch.

I must try quick sketches sometime...

Fbg 6.1

Temp 35.2

Dull grey cloud outside.
Going outside in a minute when I have finished my coffee.
Cat says he is staying in my bed on my warm fleece.
I like the early morning fresh air.

Take care.

Be good or not however the day takes you ...

Good morning on Corpus Christi day 2020. My fbg on Libre reader was 4.6 so probably 8.9 in the real world. Enough rain here this morning to make a difference although I would wager a considerable sum that arable farmers hereabouts will still need to irrigate. Remembering that opinions are like sit upons, common to all, I need to have the good sense to only display mine in private or when a legitimate examination is required. Pip pip old toots.

Great fun. Courgettes do have a habit of overwhelming a kitchen once they get going. Freezing them is OK for soups and stuff but they do make a good pickle.

5.1 this morning. Raining heavily at the moment but the rain is due to stop in time for our first walk around Sheringham Park since beginning of March. So a huge thank you to the Met Office for arranging for the rain to hold off during our walk.

Our slot is 10am so.can relax a bit longer with more coffee before getting ready.

My painting for today.
A pastel on a grey paper.
Took an hour and a half.
It is on half an A4 sheet of paper.
It is supposed to be raining now, but it is dry outside. The wind keeps changing direction.

Good morning everyone from a continuation of dampness and tree rustling in the dark and dangerous north.

The wonder wheel of yet another tin of siege meat from granny’s lock down locker and turned into something edible with the aid of something green and the contents of a masala dabba came in at a rounded down for statistical purposes 5.0 this am.

Our first zoom PPG meeting took place yesterday. It does work quite well unless someone is still connected to the wonder web by a bit of wet string. The meeting was so mesmerising as I ticked off each point from the discussion points that I had received the previous day that I have decided to share my copious notes with you all below.

Kimchi making today, a bit of zing. Have the very best day that you can manage. Koffy time.

Pair of grey partridge by the gate this morning. :wideyed: :watching: Wonder if they could be tempted into the kitchen? ;)
No housework yesterday, but digging in the garden instead, and some cooking. used all the eggs. Today i should make lemon curd. Have the three egg yolks neccessary, but no lemons. Trip to the village shop today then, seems likely.
@dunelm am picking the courgettes young...only me here to eat them and four plants. Could end up with them at every meal otherwise. If getting a buildup in the fridge, then i pick tiny ones quarter lengthways, sprinkle with herbs, drizzle with oil, roast. Delicious and slows production for a few days. Will be experimenting with different recipes as well, looking for freezable things.
just checked weather, heavy rain forecast and soon, weather app unusually certain too 100% chance of rain. Maybe not going shopping today.
