Love the colours MCThe Heather seen today on my Muddy Cycle ride, stormy sky but the sun lifted the heathland. A4 watercolour about 1 hour with some drying time between layers.

Life is a bit different @HarryBeauI am gennepher difficult to believe we're almost in September the time is just flying...I am going to make an effort to go out problem is I have got so comfortable at home...no need to get properly dressed for work or shopping...doing most of my work through Microsoft Teams the food shopping online...even the cats food is delivered...so tomorrow maybe just a short walk to our post office or a little drive.
I think that the most important thing is the blood sugars staying steady all day - so you are doing really well, and I agree that this has definitely contributed to your excellent eye health.@Krystyna23040
Yay for the weight loss!
I wish some of my weight would disappear....I have only 2 meals a day, maybe occasionally one snack, so that means by default I am fasting from my last meal (around 12 noon) to the next day (around 6am). But I don't lose weight, however it does keep my blood sugar steady all day. Which I think is very important and it has contributed to my good eye health. If I eat a third meal (and my meals are small ones), then fbs rises quite a bit, and any readings during the day can be a little erratic.
I never feel hungry, although sometimes my stomach makes noises if I have forgotten to eat, and I wonder what this noise is following me around...
Thank you - I am sure you are right and I have already burned off a significant amount of fat around my liver and pancreas. I think I would like to lose a bit more weight just in case there is more lurking there.Congratulations, this is going so well for you and should certainly help your fasting blood sugars as you have probably already burned away any fat around your liver and pancreas. Brilliant.
I do feel really happy that I am back to pre-lockdown weight and will be careful I don't go too far.Great progress on weight loss and fbg. You must feel rightly pleased with yourself. Careful you don't go too far or Mr K will be reporting you missing![]()
That's very impressive all the hard work paying off, brilliant.4.7 this morning. Trousers felt suddenly looser around waist so jumped on scales again and have lost another 3/4lb in a couple of days.
Have decided to keep going with the IF and limiting to 1400 calories as I am thinking that maybe - if the inches keep going off my waist - it will help my fasting blood sugars. Only problem is that I am bordering on becoming too slender which not a good look for someone of my.advanced years.
Athena then? Now there would be a good subject to be inspired by in good Preraphalite style, The Nine Muses....I shall wait for my Muse to get out of bed and do her job![]()
@gennepher - an impactful painting if a little sad. Interesting how you're getting to grips with layers, Procreate seem to be quite a programshame it isn't available for Android, I may have a look at Krita, it's suppposed to be a very capable tool.
Art bit -
here is the hare, done in a mixture of watercolour and watercolour pencil, based on a photo mr gee took.
it took a while![]()

All 3 sketches are great @Muddy CyclistA long day, a good walk which took longer than I remember but got in some quick A4 pencil sketches, Plein Air of Hen Cloud for my next Heather Painting, not sure which I shall use.

I have also experienced much steadier blood sugars with only 2 meals a day - which is going to be much harder to do as my daughter and family are here for the next few days.
