What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Had a walk from home this am for a couple of miles. A lot of the trees have been stripped of their leaves by the winds and some species have not turned yet but here is a sample of some colour.

Very beautiful Autumn at it's best. The Beech woods on Cannock Chase are stunning at the moment, been very damp here today so I have not ventured out but hope to get some photographs Saturday.

I have finished my Rannoch Moore watercolour that I started yesterday, still not exactly what I had in my minds eye, needed I to be more moody and the white out snow blizzard to be stronger on the mountain, maybe too much water area on the boggy land but not too unhappy with it. A4 watercolour about 90 minutes and a lot of Bach Cello music, chilled. :)

Good work to do this @Muddy Cyclist
The swordlike boggy grass detail reminds me of the clansmen fighting long ago...

My MIL died the day Gaddafi met his end, we joked how she had done a deal with St.Peter to give Gaddafi a boot downwards.
Human nature to find humour from sad occurrences.

Your mention of Gaddafi and Saints reminded me that when I was a Mummer, I was Slasher the Turkish night, we used to introduce a baddy character from the year we were in. In Mummer plays the Doctor revives all the baddies St George defeats these extra baddies we used to leave on the floor in the pubs as the DOctor refused to revive them, they would then have to sneak out at their peril. :) We had a character called Bin Liner, dressed in black bin liners, you can guess what year that was, and Gaddafi was portrayed by a character called Adaftie who was dressed as a Jester

This mornings fbg was 5.6

Managed a little walk yesterday at Kingsmill reservoir as had to drop Judith off at work for a meeting that could not be done on line much to her disgust.

Took some photos here are a couple.

I think when a life is fulfilled and long it not so sad at its passing.
There was more to the families comments than humour, as there was with your cousins.
When Violet died at 86, she died a brave lady who managed on her own when she had liver and pancreatic cancer.
She was a strong character and although I think its eight years or so, we still miss her.
When I met my wife she was the eldest of six, one brother and five sisters. One sister died of a brain tumour another of breast cancer and another is still estranged from the remainder of the family.
It is a terrible thing for ones children to pre decease one. She bore it with fortitude.

I gave a hug as I agree a lost life well lived and of many years is very different from a live over too soon.

But also an Agree for the humour meaning more.

On the humour side I lost another Aunty this year well into het 90s. She was a formidable, knowledgeable tweedy aunt who I loved spending time with. Classical music was a huge part of her life and she wanted classical music played as the curtains surrounded her at the cremation, her younger sister had absolutely no idea about classical music and chose Dvorak New World for Aunties exit, but the Hovis Add version, I had to smile as my Tweedy Aunt left this mortal coil to the music from a Bread Commercial, I'm sure she would not have seen the funny side and will probably haunt her younger sister. :)

Looks like if you went walkabout one would sink without trace.
Is that the place with a train station in nowhere?

Morning...worked last night began at 13:00 finally finished after 01:00 shattered this morning...switching the heating on and brewing another coffee I need it...a potter round today & a little tidying is all I'm aiming for...woke to a 6.5...keep safe everyone.
I am not surprised that you are shattered. A day pottering around sounds perfect.

7.20am FBG 6.0
Was hoping it would go down, so ignored the rumbling tummy. Just had lemon tea.
Hour later 6.6
Breakfast was two chunks of cheese and a another tiny slice of wholemeal toast with peanut butter. On cup CWC. Really must find time to make nut granola. However atm so many other tasks to do, it keeps getting pushed back in the queue.
