What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Frosty here all day. I took this photograph in a Frost covered valley close to our house, liked the blues and so thought I would try painting it. Not finished but have some online guitar and flute lessons to give our granddaughters so can't do much more until Sunday when I will finish it.

This is proceeding wonderfully @Muddy Cyclist
I like those blues too.
I look forward to the finished version.

I am absolutely utterly completely totally knackered. Been cleaning and sorting, and getting rid of anything unnecessary in the kitchen while I am cleaning it from those mice.

I forgot to takes my meds this morning, but took some tonight.

I haven't eaten today. I am totally off food after seeing those disappearing eggs into the cardboard tray...

Eggs...no thank you...

Just coffee and tea today. It will probably play havoc with my Fbg tomorrow morning. My prediction...it will be 10 something. I have no idea.

I have tried all kinds of traps in the past, from those humane traps (little blighters refuse to enter), to an expensive crocodile teeth trap (you can see their little footprints on top, but they don't enter), to the old fashioned trap (but the little blighter takes the cheese but escapes the trap, minus a bit of his tail). I have bought mouse sized traps, rat sized traps, but never caught a thing yet. Then a few years ago (please don't laugh), I tried a bucket of water with bait on the pirate's plank. According to You Tube I WOULD get my mouse. Did I heck. I spent all day constructing the thing...

Forget traps, I have wasted enough money on them. If it takes my 100% Montezuma luxury dark expensive chocolate to send the little horrors over the rainbow bridge, then I will make that sacrifice...but I still have some cheaper dark chocolate...
Hard as it may be and in some people's eyes cruel and I know it's hard with Popeye poison is the only way forward with mice. I ran a theatre for 30 years in an old country church, full theatre seats, lighting and stage. We were plagued with mice trying to nest in the Victorian theatre seats, we tried everything but in the end poison was our only solution, best of luck you have a real battle on.

Smashing photo and can see why you want to paint it - guitar and flute lessons must take priorty.

I am still trying to resist poison. So far I have kept them out of the bungalow by keeping the kitchen door permanently shut. But, if they got in any further...then I will have to up the ante...

Absolutely but difficult online, my 7 year old managed 3/4 hour full concentration on flute, 9 year old not so keen on guitar.

Thank you for photo compliment. I hope my watercolour captures it when finished.

Good morning everyone from a very still and quiet start in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of a restless night and an eventual early rise heralded in a 6.2 this am

A bright and sunny day yesterday with the sun managing to hog the whole of the day. No snow but we can see it on the hills from the attic windows and from the park. Several cars yesterday gave testament to how much had fallen just a mile or so away as they drove into town. Lucky sea air and hoping for another sunny day today - greedy, I know.
Art today - quick sketch of one of the band stands on an island in the park - and a bit of fanciful in-filling. A small (4x3 inch) sample of light blue single ply rice paper. Hope everyone has a Smashing Sunday - now for an early koffy.

Fbg 9.7

I said yesterday that not eating would increase my Fbg reading.
It wasn't a deliberate intention not eating, I had just gone off my food with the mice doing that act with the eggs...

I wasn't in a mood to do a painting, but I found a painting I had begun a while ago in ZenBrush3. So thought I would play with that. But instantly my iPad began heating up. I have complained before about this (and to the developers and Apple, but no response). So I got out of ZenBrush3 quickly, went into Procreate, and the iPad cooled down immediately. So, this painting is not what it set out to be, but ended up a bit of fantasy work. A bit of fun.

Now I have stuff to get on with...and more coffee and tea to drink....and create a breed of mice with expensive chocolate tastes...

Love this @dunelm

I am seeing how much detail I will be able to create in those tiny samples if I want to. Getting more ideas from you!

I hope you get another sunny day. Very good for the soul...

Morning all
Calm but cold down on the coast.
8.0 FBG at 0630 hrs. Ketones in the low to nil band. LCHF is still keeping BG low, without producing ketosis yesterday. BG 90 mins pp at 1500 hrs was 7.2
Hypothesis. Liver has no booze to process, so is waking up with active production of blood glucose. Losing weight and blood pressure down as well. As we all know, this is a marathon not a sprint.
Wish I had some more interesting statistics to report, like my latest lap-time in my Ferrari at Monza or my winning time on the Cresta Run. Maybe for each of us, this IS our Cresta Run.

Well your prediction of Fbg was just about spot on, never mind, it’s another day. Fabulously mad, spooky piece of art today. I think that Dali is in there chatting to Escher about the revival of surealism.

I do like that small yet very detailed drawing for today, that's a nice blue you have given the sky and clouds, very effective. You northerners are a tough breed venturing out in rowing boats at this time of year who did you convince to model for you.

I hope your day is sunny as you wish for.

A very imaginative piece with so much going on, art made for the creation of stories, magical, mysterious, dark and scary.

That new breed of mice sound a tad expensive in their tastes.

Good Morning and a 6 for me today, probably the result of strange dreams or the handful of chips I thought it a good idea to have with my meal Saturday evening, some times you just have to give in to temptation.

Heavy frost at midnight all gone this morning but a cold and grey day. More walking I suspect as even with lockdown it's Sunday and Cannock Chase will be far to busy to risk a Muddy Cycle ride. Then more online music tuition for flute playing grandaughter who enjoyed yesterday's session, long may it last.

Keep safe, use your Day wisely.

5.5 this morning. Today, rather than a muddy field walk we are walking into our local market town which is only a mile and a half away.

I had a really strange dream last night - I was sitting right next to someone in a doctors waiting room. We were facing each other and talking and not wearing masks. It felt really really scary. I suppose it was a sort of nightmare.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who decide now and again to have a social media free day.

Yesterday 6.1
Today a perplexing 5.2, electric sliderule, log tables and tea leaf reading needed to calculate insulin dosage as me and me's have a strenuous day planned.

Well fellow posters, painters and gamers, I trust you are well and continue to stay well.
Now it's time to sign out and prod the sleeping dragon with a long stick, then run far and fast.

Morning Brethren, Sisteren, NonCisgenderen and Refusetobecatagorisederen. Today's assembly draws upon Pointillism, the Exeter Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. Swipey's last gasp was 5.4 - into biosecure bag pronto for that. Number is obs ok but factor in device and what is usual it is way off. Hr later waking, end of Swipey may explain partly but that is clutching at straws. Lynx? The big picture is made up of individual data points. Exeter Chiefs players not happy with Rob Baxter feeling last week's loss didn't ruin the big picture. Bills? Won a Playoff game for first time in 25 years. Success may still come after years of effort. Don't give up. I'm very much with the Exeter players by nature but T2 management is all about the whole season, big picture, long game. Assembly is over, go calmly to your first lesson.:angelic:
