Hey guys,
Just wondered if anyone had seen the website seriously low carb, I’ve bought some bread and breadcakes, they are no sugars and 0.4g of carbs per slice. (Bread) Just wondered if anyone had tried this? It’s made with vital wheat gluten, so nothing in it making it sound too good to be true. I’m going to have a sandwich tomorrow morning and test after of course, was just wondering if anyone has used vital wheat gluten and how they got on or if they have tried these products.

I use vital wheat gluten in my home made bread it’s a winner for me but I’m lucky as not gluten intolerant so it suits me, ps no bg spike for me either. Recipe here you’ll need to scroll down to my post lower down on page:

Calling @Mrs T 123 and @DJC3 Who both eat SLC bread and can let you know their experiences with it.

Thanks for the tag @shelley262. I luv the slc - I always have the bread/rolls in the fridge/freezer. In fact I had 2 rolls from slc this morning for breakfast - 1 on bacon and 1 on fried egg - something I thought I would never be able to eat again and later on in the day I had 2 slc sandwiches on cheese & onion with a soup for dinner/snack. Yes, I find their stuff great, soooo good, handy and convenient and it doesn't spike me at all but you would be better to test as we are all different. Burger rolls again are amazing! The only thing is there is sometimes a problem with delivery but that is not SLC's fault - the problem is with Royal Mail and depending on where you live you could be absolutely fine. Their customer service is really good too and the one time my rolls were not fresh and mouldy when they arrived they replaced them no problem but as I say it was not their fault. One word Enjoy! You have reminded me I need to place another order soon ...

I use the bread and the rolls have no adverse effect on my blood sugar, they are a bit expensive but I’m worth it lol - hubby made tower burgers tonight for dinner and I use one of the rolls - the feeling of actually biting into a big fat stacked burger rather than eating it “naked” usually with a knife and fork was heavenly

Agreed - we are worth it and if we can't be good to ourselves .... the rolls are huge and amazing and I love burger/cheeseburger/bacon etc etc etc rolls even more than before as it is like a treat as I don't have them a lot but enjoy them when I do - they are my fake-away! love the avatar btw

Rolls are fine taste wise - not keen on palm oil but compromise is just about acceptable. Bread is awful tatse wise IMHO. Libre doesn't seem to object to them. We have made our own bread from this , which is fine in a sandwich but dire as toast, and I eat Skinnybread often as I find it best for toast and sandwiches. As long as you don't expect any of them to taste like bread you won't be disappointed IMHO. As always, tastes vary and test to see how your bs reacts.

I’ve had a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich this morning, taste was ok and my blood sugar was 5.7 after testing. It’s not something I will have a lot but will be nice just to have a quick slice of toast for breakfast instead of doing the whole cooking thing so it’s a win from me

Thanks for the tag @shelley262 I agree with Mrs T 123 the SLC bread is very good. I’ve bought both the sliced loaf and the rolls. The rolls are a really good size, perfect for a bacon butty!
Quite expensive, but definitely worth it when you are missing bread.
I haven’t had delivery issues at all (Cornwall) I think it was the Peterborough depot which had a lot of problems at one point if your mail comes via there.
No spike for me after eating either. Yay!
