What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Finished my first painting in the series Places I have enjoyed. Went for early morning in Tuscany in the end, based on some photos and sketches of my own but also some internet images.....

A4 watercolour about 45 minutes....

Wet day and so I knocked a quick study together for the Shropshire Blue Hills, I'm not sure I will do much better when I do the proper painting in some distant future....

Fantabulous paintings. Ahh, Tuscany, giving me goosebumps. Or as Mrs BRS has been heard to utter "It'd be so romantic if you weren't here". My reputation in tatters once more.

I very much like both of these. Those distant hills in the background of both are so well understated. Cypress trees taking your eye along that ridge in search of the elusive umbrella pine. Blue Shropshire hills pushing against a bright and somewhat minimalist foreground - smashing.

Hey Peeps - I hope yous are all doing ok - I haven't posted as my FBG imo is still too high - not sure what is going on - surely it can't still be from vaccine last week - or maybe - who knows - or could be extra stress from job interview - possibly - it went fine yesterday btw - could be something or nothing - as levels up slightly overall. Sometimes this woe just does what it wants ...

Have a safe trip @BRSBRI

Sending virtual hugs to @gennepher - I hope you feel a bit better soon and I hope Popeye is being good company for you just now x

Thank you, just imagine taking Sid for a tour around those wonderful roads with stunning views and finding those remote restaurants well hidden from the tourists.:)

Thank you and I'm missing both. :( Still, Shropshire is close to us and maybe a possibility in a few month from now if we all behave.

Just stabbed my finger to see where the BG is and pops back at 5.3. I'll check after a protein rich dinner and see how that goes before turning in.

In other news, I've only been gone 5 mins and look what's going on ...

good evening all :)

4.1 today

plumber has mostly finished but will leave the hole unfilled until tomorrow just to make sure nothing weeps before he backfills it :)

Car is back from the garage (for now), still has a wheel bearing starting to grumble but they can't do it for a couple of weeks, good for now though ;)

Shopping went ok and we've delivered Mum's share to her and the blue bin has been emptied so it's been a busy day :)

Hope your day is treating you well :)

@gennepher - rest well :)

@dunelm - I like your 'sour grapes' :D interesting composition and the little touches of colour add to it nicely :)

@Mrs T 123 - Stress could definitely be the culprit for the higher BG, it works that way for me anyway :) Hope everything goes well.

@Muddy Cyclist - Lovely, reminds me very much of my visits spent in Tuscany (I'm hoping to get back there sometime :D ) and I like the misty receding distance and I just love your study of the 'Blue Hills', very fine :joyful:

art bit - a sort of hybrid of pen and watercolour

Cat keeps telling me to go back to sleep.
Who am to argue, as I feel like Sleeping Beauty (Ancient Old Hag more like...)...
Just so very tired since I got back from the hospital...

So, here is the fairy godfather...

Thank you.

Good news on hole in the ground and return of vehicle from garage even if it's grumbling.:)

Your art is reminiscent of too many days I have spent on Mountains in such conditions and like the weather is here this morning, wet and very, very windy. I can feel the wind rushing over the surface of that pond in your painting and the bending of the tree against it. All very well painted, a good moody landscape.

Good Morning and 5.7 for me today. Mrs MC used the rest of the Pork from previous evenings meal and cooked a very, nay almost 0 carb stirfry which I had served with fried cauliflower. Fasted then for 13 hours so expected lower numbers.

Wet and blowing hard hear and forecast windy all day. Was going to work in garden but it looks like plans are changing as things will not stay still.

Keep safe and your feet firmly on the ground, unless you are flying of course.
