What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

FBG 4.3 @ 3am (when I got up for loo) & 5.9 @ 10am when I got up for the day

My car got serviced & new brakes today + tyre to the tune of £350 (ouch!)
New glasses & hairdo booked for next week (will probably not cost much less) ... so I hope I get a job soon - didn't get last job - it was only minimum wage but a jobs a job - wasn't too disappointed as I would probably only have done it until something better came along - that's what happened last time I was made redundant, I applied and went for a few job interviews and was glad with the last job that I got as it was the best job and salary out of the lot I had applied for so worth waiting for, until I got made redundant there ... I keep telling myself the same thing will happen again this time - fingers crossed. Btw Manager and assistant that interviewed me were only in 30s and 20s so maybe they thought I wouldn't fit in there & when I walked past their office last week young girl who worked there was outside smoking a fag (and she looked pregnant) ... so maybe I wouldn't have fitted in there ... Anyhow I have another interview for next week - I think it may be challenging as they have sent me the STAR interview guidelines along with interview details AND I have lost my certificates for my qualifications which they have requested (eh, they are well lost after 35 years and 2 house moves)... upwards and onwards as they say ...

And I made some h/m lc lasagnes today for freezer using cheese squares instead of pasta sheets - I have made them before and they are lovely as long as you are a cheese fan
I hope that all goes well for you

Good morning everyone from a very promising start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of chicken and avocado salad came in at 5.2 this am

Garden tidying yesterday. “Can you cut a piece off the end of that 4x4 beam for me?” - I had a look at our small selection of saws and asked where the gender usage technical data was. Got lovely and quiet after that.
The coaltits are frantically checking out Right Move and it seems that a vacant bird box in our garden is in contention. They have still not made their mind up though. Wedding invitation received from a niece. It’s in September so hope that all will be well.

We were in Washington DC at this time two years ago and a photo popped up on my facebok wall of a fountain which ran down the side of a building in front of which were a few trees. So, Thats what my splurge is depicting. 5 x 4 inches on fairly absorbent rice paper. The one below is the current section of my backing paper roll - tests and doodles. I wish you all a very pleasant day. Koffy time.

I love your table layout @dunelm

Great paintings on it. It is nice to see another artist's workstation.

Your splurge is very effective. I like it very much.

Good morning everyone. Happy Easter whether you are a fellow believer, of a different or no faith whatsoever. 4.7 on Swipey from me today. These levels are obviously fine if accurate and could be checked against Stabbo but that introduces a level of complication I don't need. Stabbo and A1c don't live in the same postcode either. Sorry about the expense and being overlooked for jobs you would have aced @Mrs T 123 but Easter and Spring in general are all about new life. Go as off piste as you want today guys, hide the meter and let yer readings go awol tomorrow. Ladbrokes Coral won't open a book on me taking that advice but you feel free. Maybe start with a Creme egg which should kill all desire stone dead.

Current doodles looking good. The drawing today looks like you used a very dry brush, worked well.

Happy Easter.
Good Morning and either 7.3 or 6.6 for me today. Home made chicken curry, coconut and curry leaves and all required to make authentic, served with baked cauliflower florets. Calculated yesterday's carbs and total intake was less than 30grms and no wine yesterday, 8 hours sleep, what's going on? :banghead:

Good day yesterday, Grandaughters Easter Egg Hunt went well and it was good to see them. Lots of sun and not as cold as predicted so good time was had by all outside.

Misty and frosty here today so not sure how we will spend it, take it as it comes.

Keep safe and enjoy the abundance of new life happening all around us.

5.0 this morning. We have picked a really good day for our walk.around Blickling Hall. We will do the lake walk today and then have coffee and sausage rolls in the sunshine afterwards.

Edited to add that only Mr K will have the sausage roll - I will take nuts and Montezuma 100%.

Easter egg hunt sounds good @Muddy Cyclist but fbg seems to be troubling you. Don't sweat the small stuff, it will come good. This being a standard modern house with postage stamp garden no Easter egg hunt here as it is a waste of time. Great fun in the old country. Anyone else have the Easter tradition of new clothes or the birds would poo on ya? No, just my granddad's sense of humour then but just in case I do observe that.

Happy Easter one and all!

FBG this morning is a not too shabby but could be loads better 6.0mmol. I blame the garden tidy up. Dinner was roast beef, cauliflower cheese and asparagus...

Off on the trike for a pedal before hordes descend with MrsBRS on her more sensible and laydeelike 2 wheel thing. Then a bacon sandwich for her (as every good Jewish lass does) and me bacon sandwich in my head but eggs, bacon and mushrooms will just have to do.

Have fun everyone!
