Thank you for posting that.

A long read, and I'll have to go back to make sure I understood it all.

A few very interesting points

The saving of £50k is no chump change, if everywhere offered it

The drop in HBA1c was impressive.

And interesting that weight Loss bore little relationship to the HBA1c drop ..mmh

Does lend itself to carbs themselves being the danger, not the weight.

Minded that for many the weight IS an indication of onset of diabetes, as in the diabetes itself causes the weight gain.

A thought I'd suggest many of us simply put down to getting older.

Cheers again, illuminating

Just to add.
The trig's caught my eye.

My bloods back in 2010 trig's at 6..no one mentioned them to me.
FFWD to DX I took a lot more interest.
9 months got the trig's from above range to 1.2.

Most satisfied by that
Indeed seems to correlate that lower carbs decreasing trig's .

Have just ordered Jen Unwin's book on Food Addiction too as I have a husband who is definitely in this camp. I will read and let you know but if you are interested it is called: Fork in the Road and is not for profit!
She is Dr Unwin's wife btw and a psychologist.

It’s very good. If your husband is on Clubhouse, Jen has a ‘room’ of the same name every Wednesday evening, 6pm, to discuss sugar addiction. Only for iOS at the moment, but android coming soon.

Rumour has it that invites aren’t always necessary now, and using an ‘official’ link should get you in. Happy to share the link via PM if it would be helpful.

Wow. Not sure how to broach this possibility with him as he just thinks he likes food a lot but thanks I will bear that in mind, leave the book out etc. etc. so he thinks it was his idea.
Thank you.

I'm working my way through all the presentations. Aimed at health professionals they are still (mostly) understandable by a lay person.

Jen Unwins book was already on my birthday present list.

I liked the success stories too.

Still got another 8 hours or so to go, but its so worth it
