They get you to drink a sugary drink for a stimulated c-peptide test, so it shouldn't effect it but mention it to the surgery. I had fasting and a stimulated and as I wasn't producing much insulin, they came out with the same result.the morning i went to get my cpeptide test, i stupidly drunk milky tea … it was a 1.5hr journey and i forgot … my husband handed me the tea in a travel mug and i drunk it … would this have effected my cpeptide test ..
If it were nmol/L then the normal reference range is 0.17-0.90 nanomoles per litre (nmol/L) which puts your value above the range.i had the test done nearly three weeks ago and it was a fasting test the values were 1.44 nmols
yip , just wondering if the milk and tea had anything to do with it
Thank you. I'll have a a look.@Tannith Yes, private c-peptide tests are available in the UK, but at quite some expense and at a limited number of locations - you have to go in person for the blood draw, as far as I know. Give it a quick Google to see providers.
Must be different cpep tests, my one definitely said do the test two hours after biggest meal of the day, hence the brekkie, my test was a urine test, perhaps blood tests are different, I dunno.
