What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hi all

Up earlier to get a cuppa Lauren usually takes furry nephew to work help out our 'neice'

Weather warnings now red for London

So she left him with me, I was back in bed, sipping tea, he jumped up and snuggled up, and dropped off to sleep ...and the moment lured me into so both snoozing until 1pm..

Exhausted today
Therapy yesterday followed up with a session or two after

New boiler fitted, required access to roof, wood/glass hatch open to the sky

Fitted tested and locked back up..so I thought

Nice & toasty indoors, but that wind speed earning had me anxious .

So step ladder out, and up to check.
A 5 minute job, if that.

Yesterday, like Chris bonnington in a snow storm fighting the elements ..one step at a time, then reaching to recheck and secure locks someone had t bothered too..
Glad I checked

Then, the began the decent, Sherpa less, back to base camp in kitchen.

Then on to prep & cook the evening meal .delicious..

Come 10pm exhaustion takes me off to bed,

Where brain THEN decides to mull over endless problems.

how much fun with is can one organ have, for goodness sake.

Anyway up now.
All good,
Wind whipping down the street
Scooter left leant over on the 900cc
Like a biking tripod

Be leaving it until one of the nephews can visit, I already cancelled one visit, the youngest comes over on a scooter .so no..just no .

Say best if the wind is yet to come, oh dear :sorry:

No FBG. Fed dog, the I ate then loo, checked emails, THEN thought .oh *****r..(rhymes with slang for rugby )

So an achey, indoors day today :)

Be safe everyone.
A busy busy day @jjraak yesterday...
Isn't it great when the brain goes off on its own thinking expedition?

My 3 litre thermos flask is full of boiling water.
The night lights are sitting in a row on top of the wardrobe, awaiting the activation of the lighter.
My internet is intermittent to hey I am not working in this wind.
My new egg boiler has boiled me some beautiful soft boiled eggs. Yum yum.
I am exhausted resting in bed today!
Time for a sleep I think...
But first I need to anchor those bird feeders again...the sparrows are fed up with them doing the whirligigs, and have taken to the dry cat food...
And my iPad needs recharging. Everything else has been recharged...except me...
So, my recharge now...

Interesting article - so do we not have to call the city of York something else?
Jorvik; Boyksville; Trumanton; Hutton; Close? I do like the sound of Jorvikshire; and Jorvikshire Pudding.

I love love pistachio nuts

So no longer have them in the house.:sorry:

We do however have Brazil nuts, almonds and peanuts ..all taste great and seem to fill me up, without affecting BG or making me eat the entire packet ..(hence no pistachios :coldfeet: )

This post intrigued me
So in The interest of science, a my fellow threaders, I am prepared to sacrifice myself for the cause

My number are above what I'd like, so I have least to lose & most to gain.

Obv, I need to obtain some first, so I'll report back over the next few days once pistachios acquired

I shall look forward to your results @jjraak
But, alas I won't be able to test them, because I need a few more teeth to be able to chew them....

But I did used to find that nuts did help reduce my blood sugar levels.
Perhaps I should try a teaspoon of the nut butters...

Creative today...
I downloaded ZenBrush3 again.
Deleted it a year ago because it heated my iPad up badly, causing it to crash.
It is not heating up my iPad now at all.
This was meant to be a quickie, but been playing with the the brushstrokes in it for an hour. The app has changed a tiny bit.
This is just me messing...
Then I found I had forgotten that cat...
So popped it in Procreate to paint him...

Bye...going to make a cuppa and look for the nut butter...

Keep safe...

Like a lot of these ideas, it sounds nuts but worth a try if you can use restraint.

Birds flying high, you know what I mean - reminds me of the song written by Antony Newly and Leslie Bricusse - no, not Nina Simone. A smashing depiction of the goings on in your garden of late. Glad that Zen Brush 3 is behaving - I didn’t upgrade to it after your report on heating.

Good morning everyone on a pleasant clear and light breeze start here in the dark and dangerous north.
Video chat with sister yesterday (the one who lives in France) - all her hair has now fallen out and she is sporting hats made of bamboo fibre. Supposed to be the kindest material for sensitive skin caused by chemotherapy, which appears to be going well. Out to dinner, early, with grandchildren. Good job we parked upwind of the restaurant as we were blown down the street. An as yet unknown for today. I think that Mrs Miggins has got the decorating bit between her teeth. If so, my rolls will be a, keep out of the way and b, make tea on demand like a dog owned by Ivan Pavlov. We could chance a walk if the wind speed keeps relatively low (only 37 mph gusts at present according the Dark Sky app).
Art bit - angry skies and prospects of snow on high ground. Have a smashing day if you can, there are rumours of a rare and shiny medal being awarded to some members of team GB today for curling their toes and sweeping the floor. I expect a big drop in funding but you need to throw your own bones to make sure. Time for a koffy.

Thank you.
Those seagulls were being battered yesterday @dunelm
I had ZenBrush3 on for about an hour this morning. And no heating of the iPad at all. I will play with this app the next few days, and let you know if it still behaves.
I assume someone has finally corrected whatever the fault was.

Hugs for your sister.
Windy tells me gusts of 45 mph today, and maybe 55mph tomorrow.
But looking outside at moment, everything is very still...

Love the angry skies in your painting, and that delicately painted tree @dunelm

Enjoy your coffee.

That's an interesting post @jjraak. Good luck with your experiment and with limiting them to Just 6 or 7.
