What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone from a pleasantly cool start here in the dark and dangerous north. I did notice this morning that the heating had kicked in - that will have to stop. Can’t be having all that expensive luxury going on until 21st December, we need to get the wood burner going and dig out the string vests, Damart leggings, Norwegian jumpers, Fair Isle Keps, Arctic Gloves and socks. Uneventful journey home from France - just as I like it and no sudden surprises of replacement bus services on the train.
Art bit - didn’t get much done but here is a start. Have a smashing Sunday if you can. A brisk walk is cheaper than running the central heating at full blast. I need to open a fresh bag of koffy.

4.7 this morning. Really enjoyed running classes on Zoom yesterday. No 20+ mile drive to Norwich, no 1:1s in my lunch break which gave me time for a relaxing dog walk before starting the afternoon classes.

We are off to Gooderstone Water Gardens this morning.

@ianpspurs on the subject of breakfasts raising blood sugars - the worst breakfast for me is to have no breakfast which sends my BS skyrocketing. When I do eat my BS actually goes significantly lower than the pre food level. I find that a bit weird but perhaps it is 'normal for Norfolk'.

Fbg 6.5

More nighttime action from the wildlife trail camera
A selection of some of the night's activity...

My creative collage from this...
The video has the sound of the renowned Midnight clout (usually reserved for the fox...)
Another cuppa due...
Have a good day...

I love your wildlife videos @gennepher.

Good to see you here and I'm sure people will enjoy your tales about Em amongst other things.
For those who don't know, Em is my grand daughter and one of the things I tend to wax lyrical about - probably ad nauseum.

FBG 13.4 and rising a little bit, but not much. Just taken both basal and bolus and will have some breakfast in a short time.

A brisk walk sounds good @dunelm
Great beginnings for Art bit...

Good morning all or any other time of day depending on where or when you feel your constitution is able to cope with my posting. Strong constitutions, abuses thereof and improvements thereto, are very topical just now. In light of which I ate some Kvarg yesterday and will continue with the faux porridge later. Treated myself to organic kefir out of respect to KC3. Good to see @Annb here and to hear from @karen8967 and @lindisfel again. Good news on the hip mending and being able to drive Derek. @dunelm and @gennepher thanks for your creative gifts both still and moving. @Krystyna23040 great news on Zoom classes working well yesterday and enjoy Gooderstone. Hopefully, no burnt sausage roll today. MIL will attend for Sunday lunch later and perhaps the temperature will mean less layers for the Ianship. I'm still hopeful that there are some shorts and sockless days left. @dunelm do those walks need to be brisk as some of us can't manage that just now? @Krystyna23040 NFN may be well known but I believe I'm becoming SFS - standard for Suffolk or possibly BFB - basic for Breckland?. Y'all have whatever day you can make from the hand you are dealt. Ignore the pressure to have your best, social media sharing, day and come back real soon if you so wish.

Kvarg - is that the same as Quark (very popular in Germany). Walks are always brisk as “brisk” cannot possibly be a constant and can of course be used to proceed the word “enough”.

Yes, Kvarg is essentially quark. As for "brisk enough", my genetic/cultural disposition is set to absolutes so 4 mph is fine the rest is a fail for me. I know context is all but some of us are just made this way either via nature or nurture. Thanks for the boiler link which we had already investigated but without changing our whole heating and hot water system that's a no go here. Slightly O/T when did Autumn and Halloweeen wreaths become a UK thing? - M and S want me to buy one (or more).

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and all who celebrate and or will be celebrating the end of the banal medias coverage of the sad demise of her majesty after tomorrow.
.
Blood sugars this morning were an unexpected 6.3.
.
Good to see @karen8967 posting hope all is well and of course @lindisfel.
Fortunately I can’t join the discussions on fancy low carb food stuffs, I have found through bitter experience I need medium carb to function, low carb discussions make my eyes glaze over, a little bit like metallurgy in a totally different life I once had. That was before I entered my profession as a paid supplier of pleasure to ladies and retailer of instruments of amusement for ladies.
.
Stay safe all.

@ianpspurs congratulations on becoming both SFS and BFB. The Kvarg sounds interesting. Does it taste nice?

I really liked the Kvarg but I had Kvarg Stracciatella with Chocolate Pieces as a dessert - 5.1 gms carb for a 150 g pot. Two other flavours to try..
