What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

First off.
* Bravo for setting up all the equipment so well.
* Very impressive how you have the skill & time to pull, cut, paste all that into such a coherent scene.
And
* For the narrative pulling all the threads together as you weaved the story of that night ...
You have no idea how much I appreciate your words @jjraak
It took a very long time to do those two videos.
So another thank you here...

No video today.
Having a well earned break from that!
So this is my creative for today.

Midnight has a routine now.
After supper which I give him in the kitchen, he goes out for about an hour, then comes back into the kitchen to sleep for the night (the trail cams tell me this), and I see him in the kitchen chair when I go to make an early hours cuppa.
Then around 5 to 6am, he goes out again to the swing.
His breakfast is around 7am.
Then he settles in the front room on my couch for a comfy sleep.
Then early afternoon, when the day has warmed up a bit, he is back on the swing until supper.

These photos were taken, by the trail cam, at 7am in the morning (the trail cams still show a nighttime photo even though it was just daylight).

My creative...what have I in mind to replace Big Ted, that dastardly badger destroyed?

September was wetter than usual in Cumbria and October has started well. Today it started early this am and it's still raining at 1530 and likely to rain all night.

Sad to hear Drax is turning primal rain forest in British Columbia into wood pellets and if it still used coal it would be burning less that would affect climate change and we are subsidizing it's Green credentials?

Also very sad King Charles stopped from going to climate talks in Egypt next month.
D.
I think that a lot of this so called greening is poorly thought out. People with electric cars are now finding it costs more to charge them compared to my gas guzzling Smart Car. Whatever you do, don’t talk about the cost of digging up bits of the planet to make batteries.

Midnight (cat) has now started sleeping in a comfy chair, I have prepared for him in the kitchen. Midnight always slept on the swing before, day and night.

I am glad Midnight comes indoors now the colder nights are drawing in. But this means that Jade has lost her constant friend of the night.

Jade is a stray cat who I have fed for a long time, but I cannot get near her yet. Sometimes she sleeps under the tarpaulin covering stuff at the back of the swing. Which is why in these trail cam videos, she often emerges from under the swing...

Here is Jade looking for Midnight...

Creative is a painting ofJade looking for Midnight...

A cuppa needed...

Enjoy your day.

Will it be Ted II. You should give that badger a TED Talk.

Good morning everyone on a deluge day here in the dark and dangerous northern wetlands. Just checked my bloods in preparation for my diabetes review follow up phone call this morning, 5.6. I have had a sneaky preview as the nurse told me on Monday that my HbA1c was 42 (the answer to everything). Interesting for me as I have been experimenting with some low carb beer. I was told a few years ago that once I had gotten rid of my fatty liver, my pancreas would probably kick in again. I know it’s a bit more complicated than that but a full explanation would still probably be a work of fiction by next week. Physio review at 11 - deep joy.
Art bit - taking my time (I have another one on the go that is taking longer than planned but has now reached what in microeconomics would be an economy of scale - or something). Anyhow, live long and prosper, I shall make koffy and ponder about getting the bins out tonight.

Ah...
Stairs up...
Stairs down...
What lies behind those doors @dunelm

None of this is very thought out .
Even at street level.

Probably close on 100 cars length of our street
Several Electrics.
A few points in street (lampposts)

Issue is space at a premium so E spots can have ICE cars parked in front .

Solution is extension leads draped liked spaghetti from basement, ground, 1st & 2nd floor windows down to cars.....lol
I kid you not.

So leads across pavements, dangerous so they sell rubber mats/strips to cover wires .

One or two...ok
But once it's half or more the total cars, that's going to be one huge rumble strip on every street in London ....< Shock >

Driver extension lead from 1st floor window..car behind yellow one
IMG_20221004_144548.jpg

And here's why, point blocked by non E cars.
IMG_20221004_144544_resize_70.jpg

Not blaming anyone, everyone doing what they feel they have to.

And instead of increasing points, council are in some cases reducing them.....< Rolls eyes >

Much more to this than meets the eye..

Madness, as they say.

I think midnight's lucky to not be prosecuted & in jail.

If Riley ever finds out who stole his life.......goodness knows how long he'd get ..
