Thank you. Yes you are right. They are definitely I-d-i-o-t-s. You would think that they would realise that they are invisible without lights.Aghh my favourite pet hate at the moment.
All these adults having to be treated like little children.
idiots .
Big sums spent of bikes
Another wallet whacking for the 'right' clothes.
All so they can look good in the mortuaries because their life literally wasn't worth a light....aghh.
People do not realise how vulnerable & fragile the human body can be.
I-d-i-o-t-s....
Thank goodness you were on the case & became their life saver

Really good that you spoke to a helpful receptionist and have at least got your appointment. Thanks @jjraak. I rang on the dot at 8.30 this morning as suggested. I was 18th in the queue bur didn't have too long to wait. Guess what--there were no appointments left with the said doctor. The receptionist was very sympathetic and explained that there had not been many available to begin with as the doctor also made them directly himself. Despite being told yesterday that they could not make appointments with him in advance she bent the rules and made me an appointment for Friday. My fbs today were 15.3. Best wishes.
Dear me - it happened in a different time, perhaps in Narnia? And to the splendiferous sir Michael Take...(ex mp.)

Foxes & Cats (A busy night)
The last few nights have been a disaster recording the wild animals.
Because of all the torrential rain, they have stayed at home in their burrows.
However, if you wish to observe the antics of the emerging slugs and snails, I could provide hours of footage on them...
No?
I thought not.

I have another stray cat who has been feeding at the kitchen door the last two weeks. I call it ghost cat #2. It is a ginger, a tiny little skinny cat. I asked a neighbour if it was his, he has a ginger cat. He said no. So, I carried on feeding it. Midnight has a soft spot for it. Midnight sits on the back garden side of my gate, and ghost cat #2 sits on the front garden side of the gate...

A great sense of distance in this one @dunelmGood morning everyone from a decidedly damp squib of a start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. Thank you for your kind comments about the last bit of art. Today is a search for a replacement kettle - do we go for one where you can choose temperature settings, a glass one, a cheap and nasty one or, as the girl in the bubble informs me, “a green one.” I will have a look on Which? They may know - or not. Later, rumours are that there may be a forage for moules - code word for “let’s have lunch in the pub.” Not sure yet as that was breaking news last night and today may be full to the brim with new instructions when Mrs Miggins wakes from her planning. Art bit - an arch with a view. Koffy has already been consumed so best head for seconds.

Not a day for day tourists to go exploring up mountains. In Cumbria not raining at the moment but a cool day in prospect. Rain at lunch time with temperature peaking at 11deg C. and storm winds to come.
So by the time we have done our shopping this am and put it away it will an inside day again.
It's a day when visitors to Cumbria need to realize before they climb mountains the conditions at 3000 feet.

Two more to add to the mix: a kettle to sit on a stove top to hold lots of water but good if there is a constant heatsource available or one that can heat just one cup at a time, if that's what you use - or is that the"green" one already under consideration?Good morning everyone from a decidedly damp squib of a start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. It is so hard to believe that they seem completely unaware that it is dangerous @gennepher. They must surely be aware that even a cyclist or motorcyclist who makes every effort to be visible still get hit by motorists who don't see them. That was scary. Hugs for you.
Many cyclists here also believe they are immune to vehicles...
That is really bad.It is so hard to believe that they seem completely unaware that it is dangerous @gennepher. They must surely be aware that even a cyclist or motorcyclist who makes every effort to be visible still get hit by motorists who don't see them.
A client's brother in London was hit by a motorist who didn't see him, even though he had those flashing lights on his cycle and his high vis gear. So to make himself extra safe he bought flashing lights for his helmet. When he was hit again the motorist said that he hadn't seen him. The policeman could not believe that the motorist hadn't seem him.
Why am I thinking about the gateway at Wells Cathedral where my Dad did some unforgiveable damage as he scraped his gun carriage through during WW2? He was a driver/instructor and should have taken it clean through but misjudged it. In his defence, it was on a limber (is that what it was called?) and so the whole assemblage was an articulated vehicle, but it's not really an excuse. Part of the cathedral's rich history, I guess, as your image is also rich in history.Good morning everyone from a decidedly damp squib of a start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. I feel myself shivering in that damp, cold place. Obviously an extra cold snap in the autumn weather. Not so late in the year for the leaves all to be gone but the damp atmosphere makes me feel cold and in need of a warm fire. I don't paint, but I draw and trees are so hard to get the texture right, but you've done it with just a few strokes.Fbg 6.7
