Hypos type 2

I don’t take any medication currently. Could it be 1.5 and not 2 ?

Hi Talya2022
Unless you are feeling extremely unwell my guess is that those test results are incorrect. At 1.5 or 2 you would be heading towards being comatose and its doubtful you would be able to type your question.
Low blood sugar is not a symptom of diabetes, quite the opposite, we have trouble keeping our levels down.
Hypos are caused by taking too much medication, how have you tested, is it with a finger prick or a glucose sensor.

Type 1 (and Type 1.5 which is a variation of Type 1) experience high blood sugar levels without treatment.
Hypos are caused by taking too much insulin.

Have your blood sugar levels to confirm it us a real hypo (under 3.5mmol/l - if treated by medication such as insulin, a hypo is under 4) rather than a false hypo because you are used to higher levels?

Your profile appears odd. It says you have Type 1 treated with an insulin pump but you say you have Type 2 with no medication.

My libre alarm went off because of a hypo apparently

Are you aware of the Libre limitations such as compression lows?
A low is not a low just because Libre alarm goes off.
I recommend reading about Libre limitations if you are using it. It is a great piece of kit if you understand it but a waste of money if you do not.

Just to be clear I am not T1 or Lada but I have experienced on occasion blood sugar levels as low as 2.2 always double checked and real, I have had hypo warnings from a Libre mostly compression lows but not always so I would not advise discounting such a warning but always check with a finger prick.

What does compression lows mean?

Sorry for the questions.
What are the circumstances that led you to use a CGM?
What was your latest hba1c test results?
What is your normal fasting levels?
What times does your cgm go low?
Do you have any allergies or intolerance?
Any other conditions?

Thanks.

Always double check with a fingerprick, Libre is known to read lower than blood, especially on the low side.
Also, I think the Libre alarm goes off at 4.0 or 3.9 and can't be set lower. This is not a hypo unless on hypo inducing medication.

Getting lows is not a symptom of having type 1.5 (LADA).

Your profile says you're on injections (non-insulin injectable medication (incretin mimetics), you might want to change that to diet only to prevent confusion.

What does compression lows mean?
It is when you may sleep on the side the sensor is sited or put pressure on the sensor in some other way the forces the sensor is subjected to can alter the readings it gives i.e. it reads lower than the BG levels actually are.

Apologies for going off topic.
@In Response , would you mind double checking this?
For me the profile looks like this, do you see something different?

If so, there seems to be a bug in the software.

I am on injectable non insulin. But at the time of the hypos was on nothing

Sounds more like a Libre limitations to me.
Could be an inaccuracy or could be a false low if you lay on it.
It is recommended to tests highs and lows with finger pricks because Libre is calibrated to be most accurate at "normal" levels.
If Libre had recently been applied (in the last 48 hours), some of us find it takes a while for our bodies to get used to the alien object in our arm which can affect readings.

Did you feel hypo at the time? If not it is very likely to be a false reading.
