What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hello! I haven't been on this for a number of years. This morning my fasting bg was 5.7 which I am both overjoyed with and slightly concerned. It has been steadily going down over the last 6 weeks as I have been losing weight. Before starting the diet it was 16.6.........a question I thought I'd never ask - how do I stop it going lower - my fasting bg is now lower than during the rest of the day's readings
5.7 is good. Are you doing low carb / keto to lose the weight.

Hi there,

I recently stopped posting my daily fasting bs here because, EVERY single morning, no matter what, my reading is somewhere between 4.0 - 4.5. My reading 2 hours after eating is almost always between 0.5 - 1.5 higher than whatever my morning fasting reading was.

I was diagnosed only at the end of April with an HbA1c of 105, and my first home reading a few days later was 11.00. I have made big changes to my diet, and I walk 4 or 5 miles every day (brisk walking), which I didn't do previously. My blood pressure, liver and kidney function tests, and my BMI were all good and well within normal range, so to be fair, the ability to step up the exercise wasn't hindered at all by my diagnosis.

Still, reading each day of people's struggles leaves me reluctant to be here day in and day out with a ....Hi all 4.2 this morning

Morning All. 7.2 today so tired of the Len Goodmans now. @RosemaryJackson we have our entire garden deer fenced against muntjacks who are a bit too fond of roses, but sometimes they win! Hope you feel better today.
@Stu1969uk it sounds like you are doing great. @Lainie71 and @ellesangel hug for the headache, could be the building storm pressure. @Estragon I hope so much they can find a pain plan that works and FAST.

I love hearing success stories as it gives me hope and something to aim for. Please don’t stop posting :)

A disappointing FBG of 6.8 this morning. But I did get my swim and that usually sets me up for a better outcome further down the line. As does skipping breakfast because I find the post exercise high takes me through to lunchtime.

Have a great Friday all!

6.1 this morning, just need to nudge it into the higher 5s and I will be happy. Off for a work out, enjoy the weekend guys before the thunder arrives!!!

An annoying FBG 6.8 this morning, after a v low carb day yesterday AND all my exercise rings closed. No logic to this thing.

Last night, I put on another Libre 2 to keep tabs on the detail in the lead up to my review with the GP. But it was giving crazy numbers overnight, so I’ll let it settle 24 hours before comparisons. A reading of 2.9 overnight, you’d think I’d be dead, or at least not very well
