What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning All. Normal service resumed so its 7.2. @Ryhia lovely part of the country but was bracing when we were there.
Not familiar with the place you visited just know how cold the North sea is in my part of the world. Google "Ryhope beach" - wouldn't call it a holiday destination, but it is a good place for sea glass treasure hunting.

My FBG this morning was 5.4. Changed the strips is am using and numbers seems to be much better. Which kind of makes you wonder just what is reality.

Morning all. 7.6 this morning maybe because I am in pain. Had a night of severe leg cramps (Tuesday) and had a fall which left me with a jarred back. Diet went out of the window because I had to rely on a friend for meals. @Estragon, hope you soon find relief. @PenguinMum, we went to Thrigby Hall years ago and loved it. First place I ever heard of a muntjack deer. Have a good day folks :)

6.8 this morning and yet another flipping headache two days now. Think its the cottage cheese and cheese slices I had two days running. Its the only thing I can put it down to. I drink so much water I am like a fountain so I don't think its dehydration!
This is spooky. I've also had a headache for two days and wasn't sure if it was hormonal, hayfever or diabetes related. How are you getting on now?

Still the same just disables me so much as I want to do stuff but its impossible. Was going to try a tens machine but I cannot find mine. Thanks for asking by the way, hope yours is easing - could be the moon phase perhaps.

Hi, I think I'm going to post here to keep myself more accountable. Post holiday today 11. I was doing some Slimming World but want to be around people who know more about diabetes. I was one of the slimmer, fitter ones there though no judgement on them as it was a lovely group.
Hi and welcome to the thread. Another friendly and lovely group here as well at least I think so. Hope Slimming World works for you, it wouldn't for me, far too high in carbohydrates. "Free" food is not all it seems when you have diabetes :)

Hello! I haven't been on this for a number of years. This morning my fasting bg was 5.7 which I am both overjoyed with and slightly concerned. It has been steadily going down over the last 6 weeks as I have been losing weight. Before starting the diet it was 16.6.........a question I thought I'd never ask - how do I stop it going lower - my fasting bg is now lower than during the rest of the day's readings
