What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg 6.8

I was out this morning early so I could be back before the idiot road drivers got up. But alas. I am in a 20mph zone, and the guy behind me is tailgating me in his van. I stay at exactly 20. He loses his patience with me (because all cars are now doing 30 to 40mph as they did before the 20 mph limit came into being) and speeds around me, and then brakes suddenly in front of me. I brake suddenly so I don't go into the back of him. And he then proceeded to do 10 mph, immediately in front of me, for the next good few hundred yards.
I debated passing him, and then I decided not to because I did not know what stupid tricks he was playing, or maybe he was trying to do an insurance scam...
Finally, he put his foot on the accelerator and was doing 40 miles an hour, in a 20 mph zone.

So that upset me, him terrorising an old woman who is sticking to the rules of the road, and instead of my usual 'peace be with you' which I say to every idiot on the road, it was a much more forcible expletive I uttered, with a few curses added...

I thought my prescription was next week to hand in, but it's not, it's this week. So, with discovering the NHS app now does not work with the CloudStrike outage, I now have to take it directly to the pharmacy.

So, once I deal with that and a few other things in the next couple of days I am turning into a hermit again for a few days...

Fox & Badgers & Cat
Fox and Badger were nuzzling around on the left. There is a small pair of eyes moving around - a mouse? It looks as if they are trying to catch it, but maybe it stays perfectly still so not to be seen. The Fox and Badger do not appear to have caught the mouse, and the last bit is of the eyes still moving and the Cat is asleep.

Creative...this is what I wanted time for yesterday...but I only managed to do one picture (two actually because I pressed the top page on to the bottom page, to get the imprint). I used a sketch pad, coloured gel sticks, and garden grasses and ferns.

The red sun went wonky, I might be able to scrape that over bit off...

I don't know if I will have time to do one today because I just need a long nap now....

Have your best day

What a smashing piece of art @gennepher. That has given me quite a lot of ideas - just hope I remember them.

Thank you for the wonderful creative but hug for the prescription issue and the numpty on the road.

FBG this morning 5.6 not bad.
Ade and I were discussing a book he has been reading while he was here its title Nourishment what Animals Can Teach Us About Rediscovering Our Nutritional Wisdom written by Fred Provenza . In which he shows how animals have an innate ability to choose the foods that are best for there wellbeing and that we as humans seem to have lost that wisdom he is professor emeritus of behavioural ecology at Utah State University I am going to purchase a copy myself as it contains some fascinating incites.
That is really interesting. Our Chocolate Labrador Archie would carefully choose herbs from our garden if he felt under the weather.

I sat in Gail's bakery nursing a pot of lemon tea while JKP was at the dentist and this was calling my name for nearly 2 hrs. A couple had the meal - minus avocado and salmon. God willing I'm definitely going back to try the full works. Oh, the cheese straws are divine I tried JKP's. Definitely a heaven in ordinary event.

On what a day, again.
No FBG, cos........... No strips.
But they did arrive around 11am.
Along with two weeks of Mrs L 's patches. For the month!!!!
I've not chased it up. But will do.
Found it was dsn that changed my prescription after the annual review. Without asking. But as I said yesterday was for the T2, but I originally got the strips for the RH.

Anywho, I had ran out of paint and I thought I could do some other shopping.
So I suggested to Mrs L first thing after doing her meds that as it is a nice day to go the shops.
Mrs L agreed and started to get up, in shower after cuppa, then dressed for going out, more tea, while I had the 5s's. Was ready in a couple of hours and booked a joe.
Walker, trolley and bags in the taxi and soon dropped off the driver recognised me from the footie club.
I was probably in my best mood for ages getting Mrs L out. So calm.
But not for long.
Another couple of friends we met and held up the other shoppers as we chatted, and a couple of others nodded past. The shop wasn't bad until I mentioned that there was a nice joint, that was quite cheap. Once again for the umpteenth time, she believed it was Christmas, and we needed chrimbo stuff. And it never stopped throughout our time out. I got my own back, when Mrs L decided a bbq or an outdoor brill would be a good idea.
I then mentioned what would be the point around chrimbo?
Mrs L didn't argue, for some reason.
After paying and causing chaos and mayhem around the checkout, I was distracted whilst Mrs L decided to make it difficult for the woman on the till. It wouldn't surprise me that we didn't pay for a couple of things as Mrs L was putting things in her bag, who knows?
Mrs L wanted a Maccies, I had a salad.
Taxi home and stressed out in the garden whilst Mrs L has a nap.
Why do I put myself through it all?

My best wishes to you lot as always.

My first time on a steam train that I was aware of and can remember, was when visiting, my nan and grandad.
And I was so excited to go at the time aged four.
Cos, they lived many miles away, it was an expense only affordable a few times.
We departed from our local station, which succumbed shortly after to the Beeching abomination.
And it was a steam train. The noise of the engine and the carriages was so still pre war.
It ran along the tracks that are now part of merseyrail after this spur was closed.
If you have travelled from the mid Wirral motorway through to the new (Wallasey) (Kingsway) tunnel. Into Liverpool.
The road to the tunnel was the route the train went.
Have been on many trains of various types.
The most fascinating was one in North Wales, from the slate mines.

I am awake because I accidentally slid down the bed, and i had twisted sideways a bit, (I can only sleep almost bolt upright, for several reasons), and I wasn't breathing well.
More fans, more misters. My bigger cube humidifier at the end of the bed doesn't appear to be working.
Ordered a couple of new ones, they are coming in a few hours today before 1pm.
I did have another 2 (different ones) on order, but there was no emergency then, and they were coming on Friday
Bricanyl...checked peak flow meter again, nowhere near good enough.
Right, strong black coffee and some specific breathing exercises...
Peak flow meter...great a better reading....
But now I am wide awake after doing all that...
Temperature has built up in bedroom...
Those cube humidifiers turn off after so many hours (understandably) so I should now have enough to do a better rotation and keep the "spares" on during the day.

Now I had better do a bit of stuff until I feel tired again...

Midnight is hovering just outside the bedroom door where there is another cube humidifier working, he knows I can feel a bit ratty when I don't feel good, even though I say nothing to him, and as soon as he senses I am asleep, he creeps back in to sleep next to me...

Thank you @gennepher for sharing another captivating video and a lovely piece of art that highlights the beauty of grasses and ferns.

Darling Midnight. Cats may not speak our language @gennepher but they communucate so effectively in other ways.

Good night. Sleep well.

Midnight has just crept in, with his, 'it's about time you were back asleep' expression on his face, and claimed my arms...I will take the hint and put the heated eye mask on....
You have a good sleep...

Fbg 7.1

Not much sleep, got an hour, then was just meditating until dawn.

My head was going round and round with than stupid van man I mentioned yesterday.

Then decided I should have a dash cam.
Researched Amazon. Decided the reviews are fake. They don't add up.
Toddled over to eBay.
That looked more promising...
Then decided it was a waste of money for what I wanted to pay. I want plug and play or some such thing. I am not wiring it in...I want easy.
Anyone have any advice please?

The new tatty small magpie has broken the tops of the new bird fatball feeders again and stolen the fatballs...

Creative...did one of yesterday's pics into poppies instead of the sun...

I need a cuppa...

Smashing poppy painting. My dash cam is just plugged into a 12v socket. The power cable is wrapped up and cable tied, not that intrusive.

Good morning everyone from the quiet and coolness of an air conditioned sitting room on our last day here in Scorchio. A relaxing day yesterday by the pool. I sat under an ersatz tree and read while Mrs Miggins tortured her skin. Seafood restaurant down by the sea last night. Finished packing, car booked for airport trip. Art bit, tree sketch. Hope your day goes well. I shall have Kory and think about waking Mrs Miggins and delivering her a mug of tea.

New Libre 2 plus sensor is telling me fbg 4.4 probably a lie but I’m not going to debunk it.
We had some seriously bad news yesterday about Judith’s sister doctors are saying that they think there is nothing more that they can do for her they will have a review next Monday but things are not looking good for her Judith is devastated, could you please say a prayer for her or keep her in your thoughts.
