I "have" a social worker I've been in contact with once every two years when the funding for my help (needed to prevent me from drowning in my own household) needs to be extended.
He's a really cool guy, always willing to look at what works rather than what the rules say, even though he works for the local government.
I'm still struggling with wanting to work, but no idea what I want to do now overly physical jobs are out with the stupid arm, and no idea on how to get a job really, I've always been sailing which is completely different from regular jobs. and new things scare me still.
I found out the department for helping people find their way into jobs is actually the same department dealing with people needing help with basic housekeeping.
So I skipped all the complex applications and simply sent this Wouter a text message to ask if he would be willing to think with me. Which I think is bending the rules, but it's much quicker and much more informal and mentally safe than following the official route.
It took him a week to reply (holiday to Denmark, lucky him!), but he has time to come by tomorrow morning, too bad he forgot to tell me at what time.
When he still hadn't messaged me at 9:30 pm I sent him a message I'd be available from 9:30 am, but please let me know his plan so I might be able to go for my morning swim, or call me half an hour before he plans to come if earlier. Or if he fancies a swim to be written as working hours, meet me at 9:30 at my swimming spot.
Anyway, I hope he can help me find my way in this new world of finding a job,
Anyone having ideas on cool jobs I could apply for, please tell me, I really have no idea!
