2024/25 Football Season

We lost 1-3 at Swindon.
The match changed, in the second half. We went ahead to a fluke cross shot.
a deserved second yellow, gave them a man advantage, they battered us in the last ten minutes.
Another defender sent off for a penalty.

Shocking for a struggling side.

Bottom two got beat as well!

Kilmarnock away on Saturday with a new signing or two.

We went 3-0 down and I thought that's blown it but we came back with 2 goals and sadly ran out of time. Other results some went in our favour. Gap now just 4 points. Next game is Home to Reading next Saturday Going to be a real tester that one. I think if we did somehow make the play off's we'd not be good enough for the Championship. 3 losses in a row not sure what to think to be honest.

I cannot imagine a worse nightmare of how a club is imploding in front of the supporters eyes.
That was really bad yesterday.

If Morecambe win on Tuesday we will drop into the relegation zone. And I can't see us getting out of it.
Carlisle in similar situation, but at least they are trying to improve their squad.

Next up Salford, who are flying at the moment.

I feel for you mate it's a scary prospect isn't it. Lets hope and pray you survive. Morecambe game has been postponed. Must be bad weather down at Newport.
 
Carlisle United have sacked their second manager of the season.

The club rock bottom of League Two are in crisis and are said to have dismissed former Newcastle United defender Mike Williamson after just 25 games in charge.

Williamson was relieved of his duties on Monday morning with the Blues in a wretched run of form. Carlisle were hammered 5-1 at home by Swindon Town on Saturday, leaving them bottom of the Football League and five points from safety.
 
Big game tomorrow which we really need to win. Home to Reading. We cannot afford to lose a 4th straight game or we would be in danger of dropping out of the play offs and it would take some getting back in.

And we finish up with a 0-0 draw. Not what we wanted but better than losing I guess. Trouble is Bolton pulled off a dramatic 4-3 win to go just 2 points behind us. Charlton won and Barnsley lost. Leyton Orient were cup tied. Things are getting tight now. We play Barnsley at Oakwell next Saturday. Need to batter them.
