I was wondering if taking magnesium glycate would raise the blood sugar .
I’ve got some to help with the leg cramps at night . Any info would be greatly appreciated

I take it regularly and it doesn't raise mine - you'd need to test yourself. I take mine before bed to help prevent cramp and also find it's helpful for my sleep. Hope it works for your leg cramps.

Same as @shelley262 i take it in the evening for cramps and no increase noted in blood sugar readings.

Does it affect your tummy . Along the lines like metformin does for me . I heard a few horror stories about that .

It's magnesium citrate that can impact your gut but I take a high dose of the glycinate and no impact on my gut.

A quick google search says its used as a laxative.

Have you considered a Magnesium body spray or Epson saults in a bath? Magnesium is readily absorbed through the skin more effectively than tablet supplements with less side effects.

It might be an option.

I find the spray a much better option than the tablets, I can target where the aches is usually in the arch of my feet & calf’s if I’ve been on my feet all day, just mind your furniture when spraying, I’ve dulled the handles on my bedside cabinet over time - took me ages to work out what it was
